I have to confess, after sleeping for a great many years on a pillow-top mattress with a plush mattress cover, I was suspect about switching to a memory foam type mattress. However (spoiler alert), I LIKE IT! The first night I used it, when I crawled into bed, it felt like it was firm... almost too firm. After a short time (10 to 15 seconds, or so), the foam adjusted to fit me and it was quite comfortable. When turning over or adjusting my position at night the mattress needed a short time to change it’s memory but, still, quickly became very comfortable again. I should kick myself in the back-side for doubting how nice this mattress is.

I am always so skeptical about buying a mattress online with the fear of what to do if I have to return it! DO NOT FEAR WITH THIS MATTRESS. It is wonderful. It was easy to unbox, it expanded perfectly (even the corners) and it is exactly what I was expecting as far as the pressure I selected (I got medium). The memory foam isn't too soft or too firm and I have been sleeping super hard since day 1 of sleeping on it. My husband who has back issues and normally prefers a firm mattress will lay on my side (we just have twins put together) and say "wow this is so comfortable" and then I have to tell him to get back on his side hahaha. I have nothing but great things to say about this mattress. For the price point, I feel like I have gotten my moneys worth out of it. I've only had it a few months so I'm not sure how many months or years I will get out of it, but right now I don't really care because I am sleeping great and my back doesn't hurt. Highly recommend!!

I had purchased the plush Lucid mattress for my other house & that one was PERFECT. Needed another mattress & for some reason could not ship the plush to Hawaii. But the medium mattress could be shipped, so I went with that. If you are reading this then you know mattresses are a very personal choice. How can a mattress feel like sleeping in a cloud & also feel like sleeping on a slab of concrete? Is there truly that much difference in 2 people’s experience? Or is it quality control of the memory foam? At any rate, I had a good experience with Lucid once. And had a bad experience with a different brand where the new mattress had zero support & gave me back pain like I’ve never experienced before. It also was so hot! And if you get the mattress & don’t like it, good luck getting it back into the box & returning it! I ended up selling it to some poor soul that didn’t know what a torture thing the mattress was. But hey, there were a gazillion 5 star reviews on that brand. Maybe the buyer got an almost brand new “like sleeping on a cloud in an inferno” for a fraction of the price! Anyways, back to this medium support Lucid. It’s OK. I wake up with ZERO back pain & does not retain heat, so maybe it does deserve a 5 star instead of 4 star. But, I just wish it had a tad bit more softness. Like maybe one or two more inches of soft memory foam. I’ve had it for a couple months. I am hoping as it breaks in it will soften up a bit. This mattress is probably good for people larger than I. And I sleep alone with a couple little furry friends. I tried putting a 3” memory foam mattress topper on it but it was too much, a little too soft. Maybe a 1” or 2” topper will work. Don’t get me wrong, I really do like this mattress. No back pain is worth a lot!!! This mattress is almost perfect! I would have traded the plush for this medium, but he let the old dog sleep on it with no waterproof protection & guess what? He can keep it! Also, the softer they are the faster they degrade. That plush mattress… the person sleeping on it is about 30-40lbs heavier than me. He’s been sleeping on it for 5 years & its has an indentation where he sleeps. But he has not complained about that. He does complain about the fact that there’s no support at the edges when you sit. That is true for any memory foam mattress. He ended up putting padded side boards on his bed frame to give it support (my bed frame already has side boards, which is perfect for memory foam!) I really wish I could have ordered the plush Lucid, even if I would have to replace it in 5 years. For the price, to me, it’s worth it. That plush mattress was perfect, this medium is almost perfect & since it is firmer, hopefully it will last a little longer. Good luck with the search for the perfect mattress! If you can afford to pay a little more, buy one at Costco or somewhere that you can return it if it doesn’t work for you. Or go to a mattress store & take a lie down on different brands. Or lie down on a friend’s memory foam & see how it feels. There’s just no way to know, since every mattress on Amazon has contradictory reviews. I do believe that if you are not sure, go with the firmer one. If it’s too firm, you can always put a topper on it. But if it’s too soft & causes crippling pain & makes you feel like you are sleeping in an inferno of heat, you are pretty much screwed. I do recommend this medium Lucid mattress. It is a good mattress at an affordable price.

I’ve owned one of those ultra expensive, “name brand” memory foam mattresses… you know, the ones that act like they should come with a personal assistant. And honestly? This Lucid mattress said: “Yeah… I can do that too. For a fraction of the price.” The comfort is legit—nice balance of support and that classic memory foam “sink in just enough” feel. The Mattress: This Lucid 10" is insanely comfortable. I was skeptical after fighting Amazon just to get it here, but once it showed up and expanded, I didn’t want to get out of bed. Less soreness in the mornings, super comfy whether I’m on my side or stomach, and supportive without feeling like a brick. This is the softest medium I've ever felt and at first I was skeptical but after waking up, it's just right. For the price, it’s a ridiculous win. The Buying Experience (Amazon): Getting it delivered was a nightmare. Amazon dragged their feet, messed up shipping, and made the process far harder than it needed to be. Honestly, the only thing saving this experience was the mattress itself. If you want the product, do it—but be prepared for Amazon to screw up the logistics.

Great quality and comfort. We have owned this mattress for 5 years now and never had an issue with it. You can not beat the price and also, NO SMELL NOR FIBERGLASS! We have had terrible experiences with other brands and Lucid did not disappoint.

We have bought several Lucid mattresses for our sons apartments and haven’t been disappointed yet. They used to come with a razor to cut the plastic open without cutting the fabric. They no longer include it. Luckily I kept one in my car since it works perfectly. Mattress airs out quickly and ready to sleep on in no time.

We prefer a mattress on the firmer side and this one did not dissapoint. It’s extremely comfortable. We are a little in the chunky side and often with foam mattresses we find it hard to move but we don’t have that issue with this mattress

A few years ago I bought an expensive mattress that quickly became very uncomfortable. Someone told me about this mattress and I decided to buy it. Immediately, I found it so much more comfortable that the one I bought previously. I bought this mattress over 1 year ago and I still love it. It kept its shape. I bought the medium and it's perfect. Not too hard, not too soft. EDIT: I bought this mattress in June 2024. Now, in May 2026, I still love it.

My husband and I are very impressed with this mattress! We've been sleeping on it for 10 days now and have both experienced reduced back pain, better range of motion and more restful sleep. We are combination sleepers (back, stomach and side) and all positions are very comfortable, plus we don't feel each other moving in the night anymore. When we received the mattress we let it 'inflate' for 48 hours, though it was at it's full height within a few hours. We have it set up on a platform bedframe with slats and the mattress feels supportive and sturdy. Update, October 7, 2021 - Still loving it! Still in great condition, no issues with quality and still getting wonderfully restful sleeps each night.

Big ass fluffy cloud feels like yet sturdy. No partner movement. No sag. Cooling yassssss. Height I got 10in feels a lot bigger but I ain’t going to complain. Just buy it or at least the brand
