I didn't start using it as class progressed through our actual textbook until second semester, but better late than never, because it really proved to help me through the class. The book is very clear and summative, which is ideal for comprehending the main ideas and general significance of figures and events. The information is very concise, a good characteristic considering more detail would render it as a textbook, and thus redundant as it wouldn't be a review book... The multiple choice questions and justifications were difficult for me. I practically got an F on the practice tests located in the back of the book. But the justifications and reasoning for the answers helped me revise and develop test taking skills, as well as better understand the material, of course. I used this book all the time. I would review it before every quiz, test, and sometimes even just regular note taking. Literally in the 15-30 minutes before the official exam in May, the "big test", my nose was buried in this text because of it's clear depiction of the main idea and "big pictures", definitely a positive for the exam. I received a 5 on the A.P. exam and this review book played a key role in contributing to the amount of knowledge I retained during the test! :) Review: Excellent! Huge help in studying - scored a 5 on AP exam - I started reviewing with this book over spring break which was in early April. I read the intro and took one of the practice test, only scoring a 57% on the multiple choice. Then I read the introduction and started taking notes on the entire review section, which covers basically everything we went over in the class, just in a very condensed format. You'd think it'd be overwhelming, but it was really manageable! It was about an hour of work a day from early April to mid May. I finished about 4 days before the exam and took the second practice multiple choice test and got a 75%. While not perfect, clearly it was enough for the College Board! For the essay questions, I simply got together with a group of friends from class and we discussed them, benefitting from each other's varying knowledge. I'd highly recommend purchasing this book. It was a huge help and made me feel very prepared for the exam.

This review book
This book is very helpful. I have used some other review books previous, like I have borrowed some from teachers or friends. I mean I like the few jokes they have in this book, but one thing that i would really enjoy are review questions after each chapter. I am using this book to help prepare for the unit tests so far, and it would be super helpful if those questions were there, to ensure that i truly am knowledgeable in each unit. So far, they do an outstanding job summarizing each unit. It gives you awesome tips and helps people prepare for essays, and the quiz.

I don't normally write reviews, but...
I ordered this for my daughter who is preparing for the AP World History exam, and she can't stop raving about it. She says it is completely comprehensive in reviewing the material covered in the course, as well as helping her formulate comparisons and recognize historical trends. She is so much more confident now, it is well worth the money spent, whether she earns credit on the test or not. She has a Kindle, but preferred the print version because she could highlight passages and make personal note. Thanks Princeton Review!

Amazing Review Chapters....Don't take the practice tests...
I'm not sure who Princeton Review hired to write the practice tests in the back, but I can assure you they are nothing like the actual AP Exam. They are WAY too detailed and focus too much on modern history. I've taken official Collegeboard practice tests and they are completely different. Content-wise, this book was really amazing. It's entertaining and easier to read than others. It goes too much into detail sometimes, but usually it's the perfect amount of detail. I'm not sure how much of the Modernization section I'll need on the exam, but it seemed a tad excessive at points. Overall, really great review though.

This book is key to success
I have never gotten an AP Review book. All I can say is that I loved the book so much. I appreciated that in the beginning they help you on how to approach questions. It helped a lot. And the history was the biggest thing they simplified. They would reference historical references back and forth, and it really kept me in check. I annotated the history chapters, and it helped. All in all, I loved this book. I give it 6 stars (

Excellent history prep book!
This world history prep book was informative and covered all of the main AP World History topics in detail. The one thing that wasn't the best was that only a few FRQ's were included to use for practice. Besides this negative aspect, this is a great option for your cram sessions!

Teacher Recommended
My son is taking this class in 9th grade and the teacher recommended this book as a supplement. Great suggestion. He loves the class and has already received a 105% on a test and 106% on a chart. His average for class is well above 100%. I picked up the flash cards too. They are great. They look great, have lots of materials, and he loves them.
