A practical book on defying the odds
Even though I am not in the medical profession, I enjoyed every moment of reading this book - Making the Match. There are different principles in the book that can be applied to achieve success in any given career path especially if you emigrated to the US.These principles include intentional goal-setting, decisive planning based on diligent research, self-discipline, hardwork etc. while not discarding the divine dimension of the Lord's Favor, Mercy and Grace. This book really challenged me to deeply reflect on my coming to the US for Graduate school some years ago.I highly recommend this book to anyone that wants to be challenged and inspired to be the best that they can be.If you're an international student in the US and/or your career path is in the medical line, this is definitely a must-read.I wish Amazon had a 6-star rating but I'll make do with the 5-star rating.Great Job, Dr. Demola!!!

A must read for all IMGs
where do i even beginning? Making the match is morethan just an IMG guide to matching into residency. it is a blueprint of principles needed to suceed in an environment where IMGs are feel like they dont stand a chance. Page by Page, the author gives us an insight into his journey all the way from Medical school in Nigeria, challenges faced and how he overcame those and the steps he needed to take to secure his surgery residency. This book is a great, fast read and as an IMG myself ,i gathered a wealth of information from it. It left me feeling renewed and ready to tackle the upcoming Match.

If moving to the Unites States and working at the top of your license as an MD is your desire, Dr. Ademola Adeseye has provided a superb example on how this could be accomplished…..I particularly like the personal story, strategies and insider perspective shared by the author for successfully securing a top residency program. This book is a must read and excellent career guide for all International Medical Graduates (IMGs) passionate and committed to practicing medicine in North America.

Concise and eye opening
I like that it portrays Dr Adeseye's journey from inception and helps one (an IMG) connect at different levels. It's a quick read too, finished in less than 2hrs,audio versión helps as well. It's stimulating and should be "what an IMG should know before embarking on USMLE journey". Thanks for sharing. "alpha omega alpha" heard that fit the first time too. Congratulations sir
