Excellent trike
Got this for my special needs son. While he can't go very fast, the hand brake and position of the petals has made this much easier to ride than a regular bike with training wheels. The fact that it can grow with him is a big bonus.

product description is incorrect
the product description is incorrect. from the description it looks like it is suitable for children starting 4 years and aprox. 91.5 cm tall. i am afraid this is not correct. my child is 7 and he has approx 107 cm and he cannot reach the pedals very well. this was disappointed as we waited a lot for this trycicle and were very happy to buy it.in addition, it is not clear to me how much was paid as import fees. i had a deposit of 183 USD retained but i see no invoice which details what was paid to customs. and if any cash is refundable.

Great alternative for special needs
I have seldom ,if ever, written a review of something I have purchased online. But I thought this may help someone in the same situation as my family. My son has CP, among other things. He is now 6. We have tried different tricycle combinations and, this year, been fitted for an adaptive special needs bike through the therapy center he attends. He seemed thrilled at the fact of being strapped in the adaptive trike and being somewhat mobile. After the instructional session, taking pics and measurements, we received our quote...$4869! Needless to say I was quite shocked and disappointed since we, as any parent would, wanted our child to be able to enjoy the simple pleasure of riding a bike. Not to mention it is a developmental tool and would allow him to play with other children. So we set about doing whatever we could to provide him with this adaptive trike. After some thought, disappointment turned to something else. It seemed that the company was exploiting the fact that families who had already endured great difficulties and were desperate to do anything that may assist their child and at great expense/profit. I decided to look for an alternative. Within 15 minutes I had found this mobito. It seemed to address, perhaps not by design, the very issues my son faced.I purchased the bike and fashioned adaptive pedals which are, in my opinion, vastly more improved over the $300 "special needs" options I have found listed. Santa delivered the bike Christmas morning. My son was thrilled and upon being seated in it began to pedal forward and steer the bike ON HIS VERY FIRST ATTEMPT. After becoming more comfortable with it, he is moving around the culdesac and street we live on quite easily. He has yet to master it, but I was quite astonished how quickly he was able to use the bike. Also, the design is cool and different enough that other children find it intriguing which lifts some of the stigma so often encountered by a child with special needs. He has more difficulty on anything other than asphalt at the moment, but I think that will be overcome eventually. I read where some of the reviews expressed disappointment with the tools provided. Personally I found them to be adequate...maybe just a bit better than you would expect to get with any bike. But I used my own, so it was not an issue for me. Sorry for the length of this review. As stated from the beginning, I hope it will help someone in the same position as my family and open a door for another child.

Poor product warranty
By the way, I tried to go back in and change the stars I gave this product to a one star (one for the nice looks of the trike), but I couldn't change it . . . . so make that a one star not 3. Now we know why this trike only came with a one month guarantee (this is what we were told after calling the company for help). We bought this trike in Oct. for a Christmas present, for our 5 yr. old special needs child. We gave it to him at christmas and after riding on it a couple times it broke (he is a small, lightweight child). A mechanism inside the area on the wheel where the pedal attaches to the wheel (my husband says is the bearings) is stripped or something and the pedals won't catch to make the bike go. It just turns and doesn't catch to pedal the bike. My husband has been in contact with the owner of the company who makes the bikes and was told that it only had a one month guarantee. So we are out of luck and paid almost $300 for a bike that is now no good. It will cost us almost as much as the bike to replace the whole front wheel assembly since this is what the pedal attaches to in order to power the bike. Some people have said that they had a good experience with the customer service. Well, our experience was bad and I wouldn't recommend anyone buy this bike or any of their other bikes either for that matter. Do so at your own risk. It would be a fun little trike if we could get it to work without spending another fortune to do so. It is virtually a brand new trike and it is sitting in the garage unused.

rusted
impossible to assemble..even without issues, this is a challenging bike build. the pictures helped a lot. the tools included are excellent.but when I called stuck on the last step they said that this image is normal and suggested I use wd40 to unstick it.unfortunately I can't go buy that right now so while I wait for it to arrive there will be a kid without a gift in the morning.its not a massive flaw, but for $300 I expected it to not come pre rusted and in need of oil just to function...

Great purchase lots of fun.
This bike was purchased for my 7 year old grandson. He doesn’t live locally and I needed something for him to play on while visiting. It was a big hit. It took a few tries to get used to the recumbent position, however after achieving mastery he rode it every day for the month he was here. I chose this bike because it was different and seemed like it had potential to adjust to a growing young boy making annual visits to Nana’s fun. The bike held up well with turns and braking. There are a couple cons although nothing serious. It was not very easy to assemble and it is awkward to maneuver from a grandparent’s perspective because it is low to the ground and heavy. In spite of the negatives it was a great purchase because it achieved its purpose and made my grandson very happy. I am told he would like to take it to his house. Unfortunately, there is no reasonable way to ship it to Australia.

Not comfortable
Overall my son doesn't find it comfortable. You cant reverse on the thing and the flag just falls out so it's fairly unsafe. It takes a bit of effort to barely move the thing as it has tiny wheels.Overall I'm not impressed, I would return this if I had a box to return it in. What a waste of money and it's costly at that.

Great leisure bike
This is a fun bike for sure. We got one for my daughter. This is a fixed gear bike however, so it's not suited for a lot of hills. It's great to ride around at a leisurely pace. Quality built and if you take off the flag and adjust the rear reflector it can be stored upright resting on it's rear wheels and seat back.

Not worth the price.
A childs tricycle, no gears. Not equal to a 10 speed or mountain bike.
