Goodbye, My Rose Garden Vol. 2

What an interesting take on the type of yuri story, "women from 2 different stations in life meet & fall in love". 2 differing stations, indeed. Pretty much as far apart on the ladder as it gets. And during such a difficult time, for women who love other women. Look at what happened to Oscar Wilde, among other notable men. Just the mere rumor of a homosexual inclination could & did completely ruin the good standings & lives of many wonderful people. It was a time of excitement, yet restrained composure, too. This is such an interesting tale. I look forward to the next volume. Now, we wait. Art, very well done. Dialogue, excellent & very true to life for that era. Characters, some wonderful, some just dreadful, yet the 2 female protagonists are just delightful. I sense however, that there is trouble afoot, what with the lady being spotted on the beach, embracing her maid. Hmm! There definitely could be some serious problems!

I was very impressed with the first volume of Goodbye, My Rose Garden and I am happy to report Volume 2 avoids a sophomore slump. We learn about Alice's early years and the woman who mentored her. Alice and Hanako are drawn to each other but each has secrets which are acting as barricades to a deeper relationship. Meanwhile, Alice's family and suitor are becoming concerned she's getting too close to this Japanese maid and decide to take action. It's a fine volume and Goodbye, My Rose Garden is becoming a first-rate series.

Art is beautiful. Story is simply spectacular. A rollercoaster of emotions. One of my most favorite Yuri love stories. Please support the author. You won’t regret purchasing her work!

Amazing. Learning about Alice’s past and seeing her grow closer to Hanako is the sweetest. LOVE THIS CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE! Rooting for them. 🥳

Next volume is the last one and I honestly don't want this story to end. Just beautiful.

I can't wait for volume 3!! Ugh, I'm in love with this cute relationship. And what happened at the end... ugh!! Why leave that cliffhanger?! Haha. I love this little series to death. I look forward to more from this author.
