Avery Printable Return Address Labels with Sure Feed, 2/3" x 1-3/4", Matte Clear, 600 Blank Mailing Labels (18695)

The return address labels are being used for a craft project and these label our items with the group name without obscuring the craft item itself.

I know from previous experience that Avery makes the best labels, hands-down. These are no exception - nice looking, easy to use, and fairly priced. As with most "clear" labels or tape, they aren't completely transparent in all situations. Depending upon the material you're sticking them to, the label varies in visibility. I use them mostly on white posterboard, and for that usage, they are largely transparent, with only a bit of the edges visible. However when I put one of these labels on a plastic baggie, it is quite visible, in the same manner a piece of Scotch tape would be visible. Overall, these are fine quality labels that I will purchase again and again.

This was just what I needed. The labels are a matte frosted finish, not completely clear, but I expected that since this is what the description said so I'm not sure why some people gave it low marks and complained about that. One note, my printer doesn't have a "label" setting and I did have an issue at first getting them lined up ok when they printed, but I did get this corrected. The Avery site was very easy to use, but the problem was in the template #. Though the item number on the package is 18695, it says right on the package to use Avery template 5195, so I did. When I put 5195 in, the example came up and match the configuration of the labels on my sheet so I figured I was good to go but when I printed a sample on plain paper it didn't match up with the labels, the borders were way off so it threw the whole sheet off. I tried manually adjusting the settings but each time I did the printed sample was even worse. I was about to give up when I thought just to be safe I would start from scratch but this time put in the item #18695 for the template instead of the template # it said to use. This brought up a sheet that also seemed to match the label configuration so I went ahead and printed a sample. This time the borders all matched perfectly, and the labels were only a little off so I used the Avery help function that said i had trouble printing and it gave me 3 pictures, one which perfectly matched the problem I was having so I hit that and it told me what change to make in my printer pop up box so I did and this time it printed perfectly. So if having problems printing I would suggest using the item # to for the template instead of the template # the package says to use. I took off a star just for that, as I'm not sure why they tell you to use that template # instead of the item # and it did cost me some time, paper and frustration figuring that out.

Have been using these labels for many years, and they're still the best! Quality, ease of use, and value are what keeps me sticking with a winner.

I used these labels for all of my save the dates, wedding invites and thank you cards. I've always downloaded the templates from the Avery website using the product number and they work great- I've used them with 2 different printers (one HP and one Epson) and never had any problems with alignment. Please note that these labels have a matte finish and are kind of "frosted" so they are not completely clear- they will not look invisible on top of a coloured surface- but I think they still look great (I used these on gold envelopes) and much better than white labels! It's also a large pack (600) which lasts a long time! Most of all, this whole line of Avery labels saves tons of time from having to write out addresses.
