You get what you pay for...... These are not good for high heat cooking or if your an experienced cook! The handels got very hot and the silicon melted on the flipper when I pan seared some chicken in my non-stick pan. The spoons are great portion sized. I don't care for the peeler it's awkward. I like the measuring spoons and cups but the holder is trash. everything falls out so I stopped using it.

If you know someone striking out on their own, this would be a really nice set of utensils to really get their kitchen started. You get pretty much every critical piece that the average cook needs and uses on a regular basis.One thing I always look at with spoons, after making some disastrous spoon decisions in my youth, is strength and rigidity. There is nothing worse than having to pick half your plastic spoon out of your boiling hot dish when it snaps as you stir it, or having the spoon just flop around. That should not be an issue here!The peeler has a bit of a small blade area, but is perfectly sharp. The can opener, whisk, measuring utensils, all are good quality. If I were in charge, I might have added an additional turner, as that's probably the utensil I use more than any other. Otherwise, a nice set.

These are essential for the kitchen!

I received this product for free through the Amazon Vine Program in exchange for an honest review.This is Amazon brand, and quite affordable for the quality. There are 17 pieces, including the 5 measuring spoons and 4 measuring cups. There is a spatula, a spoon, a slotted spoon, a hand-crank can opener, whisk, vegetable peeler with cover, a cheese grater with cover, and tongs. The utensils are all black and polished steel. The handles (which appear to be brushed steel) all have loops to hang the utensils. Both the measuring cups and spoons are on an "open" ring. They are able to be removed from the ring quite easily, which is a double-edged sword; they come off easily whether you intend for them to do so or not. The pieces are lightweight and appear sturdy.I was pleasantly surprised and I recommend this set of kitchen utensils.

We have a house we rent out as a vacation rental and the one thing I must replace often are spatulas and can openers. This set with its stainless handles looks very handsome and stands out from the usual all plastic spatulas. I appreciate that it comes with a small grater with a slim line to fit into kitchen drawers. I like that it is dishwasher safe (it says the can opener should be hand washed however). I needed new measuring spoons so this is perfect for my updating the kitchen. This would be a good first apartment gift. I found the individual pieces to seem quite sturdy, I will update my review if they don't wear well over the coming year. I think the price is fair if you divide the number of pieces it comes out less than you would pay at your normal store.

The best thing about this is that it contains the vast majority of the essential kitchen tools. The worst thing is that many of the tools are very cheaply made and aren't likely to hold up for very long. However, some of the tools are quite nice.I specifically like the can opener. It is heavier and better made than any of the other tools. I think it will last a while. The grater is also nicely built and feels sturdy. The peeler is better than some of the really cheap ones I've used, but still not great. The whisk has a metal handle and nylon whips. I used it to whip some eggs. It did a good job. The measuring cups and measuring spoons are on a par with what I use everyday. They may be the highlight of the package. As for the larger spoons, spatula, and tongs they all feel very lightweight and very cheap. I doubt they will last long. Overall this feels more like a full-size set of kitchen toys that I might have bought for my grandchildren to play with when the wanted to play chef.
