At Home in the Garden

I just received this book. I'll sum it up....Gorgeous! I love Carolyn Roehm's taste and style and she carries that through in this beautifully photographed book, with the perfect vistas of her gardens and property. She has outlined her endeavor to settle her estate in Connecticut of 59 acres from farm land to beautiful gardens. She shares the candid look at successes and failures in doing so. This is a large, heavy book to have on display at all times. I plan to buy more of Carolyn's books. They are so inspirational to anyone with a creative mind.

Buy it!, For whatever reason! if you don't have one, made one up! This book is as gorgeous inside as is the dust cover. It is truly fabulous visual feast that you can't put down. I keep it nearby and frequently browse thorough the pages. It is inspirational , it is relaxing it is also fabulous source of ideas. VERY LARGE VOLUME! If you need a book gift that makes a statement this book will be welcome by many people who at all in any way care about garden or home décor.

This book, photographed and authored by Carolyn Roehm, is a treasure. It is oversized, extravagant in its visual appeal, and simply put, beautiful. The extra treasure it brings in terms of being able to observe, and to the extent possible, mimic her ingenious and creative tabletop settings just puts the experience over the top. Carolyn's taste is at once timeless, yet very "up to the moment" current. How does she do it, all the while managing the entirety of her lovely estate? I suppose, as she says, there is a certain love affair with one's home and the grounds which surround it. And that must be the everlasting inspiration to create beauty on this earth.

The photos are vivid and beautiful. The book was enjoyable to meander thru. Information is modern yet classic. Great Read & Great Coffee Table Book. The author is a very talented lady. I’ve enjoyed all her books!

This book is beautiful. It covers different areas of gardening and captures the peace and beauty of being At Home in the Garden.

I am so excited to have this. It is beautifully photographed. I have another one ..Flowers...by Carolyne. I have both on my coffee table and they are so pretty. When I need to destress..I love looking at these gorgeous books.

A gorgeous visual feast of a book! I have a large collection of garden books, yet this hefty new volume surpasses them all. So personally and charmingly written, feels as though Carolyne were a dear friend. But it is the photography that really invites you into her lovely garden. The light, color, and enormous size of the photographs literally transports you into her garden. And what a wonderful place to be! Her simile, "a garden is like love", makes this garden book 'true love' for me.

The photography in this large-scale book is gorgeous, with amazingly brilliant colors. Highly recommend.

Ich hatte mir etwas mehr Gartengestaltung gewünscht. Das Buch ist zweifelsohne schön, aber für den Preis habe ich bessere Bücher.

This is a HUGE book and worth every penny. It’s like a personal tour of her garden and I got immersed in it. Not a lot of text but she has other books on flowers if that’s what you want. A feast for the eyes and could almost convert me to gardening!
