Saunders Cervical Home Traction Unit

I am a Physical Therapist and I’ve worked with the professional Saunders cervical decompression device for 20 years. This device delivers the same amount of traction (up to 40+ pounds) as the professional model. It is easy to use and is comfortable. I would definitely recommend this unit.

The product is sturdy and conceptually sound. However, I found it painful on the back of my neck as it felt like it was pulling my hair our. I tried to use for about a week but decided to return it.1. Be aware it cannot be returned via normal Amazon methods. (drop off at Kohls, etc)2. I had to call the seller and arrange for a return. Not a problem, I had the original packaging.3. Had to pay for shipping both ways. Ok, I get it. that seemed fair.4. There would be restocking/cleaning fees and they could indicate the amount I would be refunded5. 2 months later, I received a check from the supplier for $248.94 total original cost was $348.00 plus $25.23 for tax.In the end it cost me $124.29 Plus shipping both ways to try this product. I expected something around $50 plus the shipping on the high end but this is a little outrageous. Unless you are sure DO NOT BUY this product.

My physical therapist recommended this device for home use and even showed me which height setting he recommended. I briefly tried it out at his facility and it felt pretty much like his traction machine. The only drawback it has vs. that machine is that pressure changes have to be done manually if you want to alternate between stretching and relaxing, but I wouldn't expect automatic cyclic operation at this price point. If I find any issues with it as I use it, I'll update my review.

We used to go to a facility to do this once a week. Now we do this at home almost every day. It is very comforting to my neck, it helps immensely with relieving pressure and pain. I had a car accident 2 years ago that left me with literally, the BIGGEST pain in the neck! I get occasional migraines for days due to my neck specifically. This helps me deal with it and maintain a Pain Free existence! Thank you who ever invented this!Plus it arrive promptly, its sturdy, its powerful and just overall a 5 star product and service!

I was just a little intimidated when this arrived, fearing that its use would be complicated. However, I found it to be very easy to use and very effective at providing different levels of traction. I like the design, and it seems sturdy. Very important to use this only under the direction of a physician or physical therapist. My only reluctance to give it five stars is that it hasn't worked as well for my problem (nerve compression) as I had hoped. That's not really a problem with the device, though. If you need cervical traction, it does the job!

My PT told me to only buy this product....it's the brand most Physical Therapy clinics use. It has been helpful to take away my disc pain anytime of day that I use it. You have to make sure though that you don't overdo it or you can flare things up. I had my PT give me a quick review and recommended how much tension and how long to use this daily. It's built well, easy to use and I can tell will last a long time. Very happy with this.

The unit arrived with a broken know my guess is shipping as the box was crunched. I called smarter living and a new unit was sent out to me and arrived in 2 days . The second unit is a n perfect condition.I give them 5 stars. Thank you Harold Soogian

Great machine an exact duplicate of the machine my Physical Therapist and my DC use. Well made, comfortable, easy to use and effective. Nice to be able to fine tune the neck/head pads for good traction without and posterior stress or stress on my jaw and teeth.
