Unravel - Origin PC [Online Game Code]

First of all, I bought this for my pc. Amazon will give you a code which you should use on your origin application(download it if you don't have it). I had no problems with the process.Now excuse my ranting, but I will now address the issues that some people complained about. One complaint was how the game didn't work on their windows 8 computers. GET OVER IT. Windows 10 was or is free (not sure) for a year. Windows 8 was a failure and the game works perfectly on 10. Next, others reviewed badly because it didn't work with old computers..... WHY DID THEY EXPECT A GAME THIS GRAPHICALLY IMPRESSIVE to run on a computer without a proper gpu (graphics processing unit)? Shame on them for not properly checking the minimum requirements of this game and rating negatively for their own ignorance. Lastly, one person mentioned horrible controls for the keyboard. Sir, this game was designed for three platforms: PS4, XBO, and PC. Notice how 2 of those 3 platforms play with a controller. Also take note of how this game is not a first person shooter or third person shooter; it is a platformer, a genre meant to be played with a controller.Now as for the actual review, this game's main selling points are its graphics, sound, atmosphere, graphics, Yarney being cute as **** and graphics. The game play is somewhat interesting but very simplistic (which may or may not be a bad thing) It composes of puzzles that will be frustrating at times and repetitive, but somewhat rewarding as you complete them.The game is attractive but very simplistic and casual. I assume the majority of you reading this are somewhat casual gamers and if so, I fully recommend this game. Do not expect to play it for hours on end!!!

The one star isn't for the product itself, rather for the issue of not being able to redeem the code to download the game. I created the EA account, put in the code and it takes me right back to the page to redeem the code. I put the code in again and it said code was already redeemed, yet it does not show up on my EA account. Money wasted!

I love 2D side-scrolling games, and was so looking forward to this release! The puzzle storyline, artwork, and music are all breathtaking. Unfortunately, I found the main skill of the Yarny character to be somewhat aggravating in terms of gameplay (Xbox One controller): lots of repetitive throwing rope, tying rope, climbing up or down rope, swinging from rope, pulling with rope. I played about 3/4 through, then let my kid finish while I watched---much more enjoyable!Still, the wonderful things in this game outweigh the annoying elements. I love the clever idea that Yarny is unspooling as he travels, with a need to replenish his yarn at designated stations. Game achievements fill the pages of a beautiful photo album in the home of Yarny's "maker." The artwork is amazingly realistic, the music relaxing yet haunting. Yarny is a precocious character who reacts to his environment in unexpected ways---if he could swim, he'd be perfect!Go to the Internet and find the game designer's instructional video on making your own Yarny---see mine below!

The media could not be loaded.  First It took an hour to try and fail to make a ea account in order to redeem the code then I borrowed my brother's account installed it took 20 min and haven't even played it yet and I have to repair it or Uninstall it and reinstall it.Update Uninstalled 2 times reinstalled still nothing restarted my computer 4 times and repaired the game more times I can count still will not let me play 😑

I bought the product for digital download to a PC for my grand daughter's christmas. I followed the instructions exactly. I went to the ea arts redeem screen, created account, entered the redemption code and it took the code, then returned me to the redeem page. I tried to contact EA arts through their help chat, but it did not pop up for any help. It wasn't expensive - but a waste of time and a LOT of frustration. I am only out $2.13 but it is the principle. No refunds - no help. I am a HUGE Amazon customer.

What an awesome game. The beauty of this game is that it is tricky to master the controls. Makes it different than a standard platformer. Once you have played it for a few hours you start to really get involved, and you won't stop until you finish. All the stuff they say about this game being emotionally touching is true. That said, you have to have a certain temperament to enjoy this game. COD players, this is NOT your game. It's not really even a "happy" game. It's an eerie look inside the mind of someone about to die. Very psychological and makes you think. It's a Mario Bros. style platform game with a hell of a lot of heart.

I purchased the online game code specifically for windows 8. It says that right on the order page. While it was easy to download Origin (the game developer) and the actual game with the game code (Unravel), Origin will load, but the game will not. The screen turns black for a second like it's trying to load and then it goes back to the desktop. I have searched online and windows 8 appears to be a particular problem with this game. I have done every single fix suggested online from deleting and re-loading the software, to disabling my security software, to adding exceptions in my firewall, to changing the compatibility to every other operating system and it still will not load. I paid $20 dollars for this and cant even get a link to amazon to complain about "platform windows 8". Origin's customer service has only repeated every single thing I have tried. If anyone out there can help me, I would really love to play this game and give it a good review. Right now, my single star is for Amazon telling me that this is a windows 8 download.
