It does the job. Wish I would have spent a little more and got something different. Wish it swiveled away. It’s become evident I really need that. The black lens donut falls off a decent amount. It comes lose at the rail mount and I have to keep tightening.Also finding out I really do need 4x5 filters. Thought I could get away with just 4x4 that this one only takes.It of course does it’s job and still looks cool.

Exceeded expectations. Very well made for the price.Great entry / junior level mattebox. Hardware is red not blue!

I could make a laundry list of shortcomings here, but for the price it's amazing. My only complaint would be the completely awful knickers (cinchable donut) they provide. It's really a lot more effort than it should be to make it function properly. It bunches up and is difficult to seat. It will work in the end though, it's just sort of a pain with some lenses. I guess I'll probably eventually shell out $20 for a different one. It is NOT the knickers they have pictured with the mattebox as that one looks far more user friendly. The one I got is a stiffer material with drawstrings. Not great guys! Don't ship it with that one.The flags seems sturdy though and it looks nice. It is plastic, so if you're prone to impact filmmaking not sure how it will hold up.

The eyebrow often comes loose even when tightened, idk if it’s specifically my matte box or if they all have this issue. Also the piece connecting the matte box itself to my rig allow the matte box to teeter ever so slightly, not much of an issue. Besides that it’s a great product.
