Hutchinson worked with Smith on producing a history of nationalism that went back to the pre-historical dawn of time. Coming up with the 'it what people believe that's important' to justify not mentioning that the type of nationalism he was advocating had been around for less than two hundred years. His views on Ethnicity are equally impressive.
