Sebastian Frost created a territory where demihumans lived peacefully. Whether they were a snake-haired gorgon, a colorful slime woman, or a fifteen foot tall Oni, they were free to live peacefully in Pluma Territory. For many of the creatures, living peacefully was something they never dared even dream of so it was only natural that they traveled from all over the continent to reach his territory. If only the humans would let them. Sometimes it was guards in a neighboring territory killing them for sport, sometimes it was a village stealing all of their supplies, and sometimes it was slavers attempting to profit. But the humans just had to make things difficult. Frost decided to make examples of them. It worked. Maybe too well as the Herald of Ziralia could no longer allow Frost to act with impunity. The man was finally traveling to Blackwater with his two thousand personal guard and it didn't feel like he was interested in resolving things peacefully. Herald of Shalia is a fun fantasy Light LitRPG/Gamelit by Tamryn Tamer and contains attention starved elves, giant Oni women, naughty princesses, foxy madams, foul language, and completely over the top love making. You've been warned. Review: Great! - A great story overall, it really exceeded my expectations and those were decently high to begin with. The plot itself was really what made me enjoy this book so much. The foreshadowing was good enough for you to recognize that it was there without hitting you over the head with it, and it wasn't so subtle that you were confused by it. There was some good character growth and change in this one too, so it didn't feel like a bunch of cardboard cutouts on a stage. Overall this might be the best in the series. It was worth the wait, and this is coming from someone who really hateswaiting. Excited for the next one already, and looking forward to how the author resolves all the future conflicts this book sets up. Edit: (spoilers) One issue I had was that at the end if the story he wasn't as upset as I thought he would be by being manipulated by Shalia and all the others. He seemed much too blasรฉ about her using him and the people he cared about without his knowledge. Edit 2: A second rather large plot hole is that during the scene where Brynne executes Herald Law, she says the king gave her the authority to do so because he was going to imperil the marriage of Fiora to the king of Riliandria. The only issue is that the king had already okayed the plan for Law to force Frost to kill the king of Riliandria. Which on its face is imperiling the marriage because you can't marry a dead guy. Why would the king care about imperlling the marriage now even he obviously didn't care before? A pretty big issue because it is what makes it possible for Brynne to kill Law in the first place. Review: It's really amazing how dirty yet intriguing this series is - This story just seems to be getting better every book. Non stop over the top hot as hell sex scenes? Check! An actual story that has a pretty good plot going for it? Check! Characters that are adorable as hell that you just wish you could be teleported to a new world to meet? Check! A degenerate main character that will lewd anything that exists? Check! The story is erotic, action filled, intriguing, cute, and funny all at the same time. The sex scenes are a pretty dominate aspect of the story, but the only thing that could be portrayed as bad about them in my opinion is that it could take away from the word count for the actual story, because it's also pretty awesome. That being said it's pretty hot, especially if you think a world where there are monster type humanoids just flocking to the one guy who doesn't treat them like trash is cool.

Good story needing more pages
First, the storyline and world-building in this series is first class and right up there with most epic fantasies. You know you are getting a lot of sex scenes when the main character is a Hero for a sex goddess right up front. This is not a problem except that the main plot is so entrancing that the constant 10 page sex scenes take away from the fascinating story developing! Please, just adjust things so that we see more monster , magic, world-building, and every other excellent detail you bring to this series and slightly less sex with the same elves. 4 stars for making me have to skim sex scenes due to the story being so good!

A world like no other
Every book that comes out brings a new aspect of this world to life in a new, colorful and exciting way. I fell in love with the cast in book one but my love has only deepened more and more as each book comes out and now every day I find myself checking Mrs Tamer's page looking the next installment. I personally love Renna, Lysandra and Brynn the most out of Frost's cadre of women followed by Madame Gardenia. Their characters interact in funny ways that being a smile to my face as well as fit together perfectly when things get spicy. All in all I love this series and will read and re-read every book down to the letter over and over again. This series brings me great joy so thank you Mrs Tamer for all your hard work and I look forward to seeing a long series when it comes to the Herald of Shalia.

Politics on Frost's world get complicated.
Frost's world continues to spin along. Volume 4 was a bit different in tone from the previous volumes, in that instead of the story being almost exclusively about Frost, this book expands the viewpoint a lot to surrounding characters and plotlines. In short: Books 1-3 were focused mostly on Frost and his (crazy over-the-top) relationships, with a bit of politics and world-building. Book 4 is mostly about the politics happening around Frost, with a bit of his relationships thrown in for fun. Personally, I'm glad to see this, as it opens up the world to a much broader set of possible storylines and future books. Our favorite foul-mouthed Slade is back, with Hestia of course, and we learn one important thing: do NOT mess with Hestia. Just... don't. You've been warned. And so has everybody else now, much to their dismay. A major plot line in book 4 is Brynn's interaction with a new enemy of Frost's... and why. The reader is *almost* convinced that... nope, won't spoil it. She get spanked for her actions in the end, so all's well. Oh, anybody who read my review of Book 3 couldn't help but notice my comments about Frost's mother-in-law, Cassie. As a bit of fun, I can't resist including one of my favorite LOL passages from the book: ---- โFine,โ Lysandra said. โBut heโs mine.โ โI know,โ Cassia sighed as she buried her face in Frostโs neck. "Heโs yours. Who would want to take such an awful husband anyway?โ โAn awful mother,โ Lysandra grumbled. ---- The end of Book 4 ties up a lot of the threads from Books 1-3 quite nicely. If the series ended here (goodness, i certainly hope not!), it would NOT be on cliffhanger, which is a nice change from many authors. At the same time, there are so many obvious possible directions to go now... and certainly even more non-obvious ones, depending on the author's whims. Here's hoping for the next book soon. I want to see Lysandra and Frost's child born... and maybe a few others. (with Brynn? Desi? Renna? Don't think the mechanics would work for Lishri, but it's a world with magic so who knows, right?) Till the next book... you'll enjoy this one.

Awesome Series and Great Books
Yet another entertaining book in this series. The characters are well developed and their interactions with one another are often very amusing. The overall storyline of the series is creative and the plots of the books, though they can sometimes be guessed at in advance, are often funny and still occasionally catch the reader by surprise. Overall, my favorite series in this genre and one that I hope continues long into the future. Please keep the books coming quickly! Canโt wait to read the next one!

Fantabulous
Great light hearted LitRPG novel that continues the story of Sebastian Frost. Science & reality are interfaced, with a design closer to Skyrim, by humans. The author seems to be developing the world by balancing karma, actions, skills, et cetera. For instance, this is the first novel where the author gives women the ability to be super fertile in response to spell for men. Yet it may be better to have a couple important people die, to make room for LIs and children, think do I. It is a great story with polyamory but ever single โwifeโ of Mr. Frostโs should be pregnant by this, the fourth book, think do I. The storyonly covers want Frost wants but if he really loves them, then why does he ignore what they want? Itโs not like Majik or Hestia would let Brynn, or the other wives, die during childbirth due to malnutrition. He would really still be letting his fear keep him from helping them to choose to be happy? For sharing Gravity, grateful am I. May the Goddess be allowed to alighten a path towards love, joy, & happiness along the selfโdetermined lifeโcycle chosen by the HigherโSelf of yours, pray do I.

Good book
I did skip a lot of the pages about sex. It was getting to be a lot of it. But the development of the MC and his side character is awesome.

Keeps getting BETTER
The author never disappoints. Fun characters, great fight scenes, amusing situations. A scene or two for Manga fans... who doesn't love their Kina? Good plot. Downside? I have to wait for the sequel, Damnit.
