Didn't Work For Me.
Easy install, which is much appreciated but didn't help with water hammering.

Essential part for irrigation system
No drip irrigation will work effectively without this pressure regulator. I have this part on every valve, and it is as reliable as it can be.

Not what I had in mind
The only way to turn off and on the water is manually. Not what I had in mind when I purchased it.

Not acceptable for low-flow residential drip irrigation zones
Note that this pressure regulator has a 5 GPM (300 GPH) minimum flow rate requirement which is typically more than most residential drip irrigation zones will use. To complicate matters further, I don't think that the 5 GPM datasheet value represents the true minimum in every case because I tried using one of these on a drip zone that has a flow requirement of almost 7 GPM, yet the regulator did not work properly at any setting of the regulator or the flow control adjustment on the Hunter PGV valve onto which the regulator was installed. With it installed on the valve, it consistently caused an unacceptable oscillation in the valve that in some cases resulted in a loud obnoxious squeal and in other cases a visible shaking of the valve. When I asked Hunter about it, their only suggestions were to either increase the demand within the zone to increase the flow or else instead use one of their in-line regulators that work properly at the lower flow rates.
