Love this measuring spoon. Easier than getting yeast out of the packets and this is certainly cheaper!

I've had one of these for about 10 yrs. Saw it on a baking show and loved the idea of having a measuring spoon specifically for measuring the same amount of yeast as in one of the little packets. But I buy yeast in bulk and store it in fridge, and it was tedious and time consuming to measure out 2 and 1/4 tsps of loose yeast. This little spoon takes care of that for me, making it efficient and fast. While teaching our teen grandson how to bake breads and pizza, he learned grandma's methods so indeed he wanted one of the spoons. I ordered it here on Amazon and gifted it to him to take home. His mother (my older daughter) finds herself "borrowing" it from her son whenever she bakes. It's a great tool for your baking supplies. Highly recommend it.

I know it doesn’t seem like a big deal, other measuring spoons always have something on or in them because I’m baking. This is just a nice convenient thing to have, and for the price why not? I find most recipes call for one package of yeast, this measures one package of yeast. And it is very pretty, it’s stainless, it has a nice weight, It will last for years I’m so glad somebody thought about this. I intend to buy four more for all of the daughters and daughters in law.

Very nice spoon! I loved the idea of not measuring, just using the spoon. I gave it 4 stars because I use a bread machine to make my dough (take it out to braid before baking). The spoon holds a little too much; the dough overflows the machine if I fill the spoon with yeast - I have to put a maximum of 2 teaspoons in to avoid that. It is a cute little spoon that I like though. I leave it in my bag of yeast in the fridge and just be careful to not fill the spoon.

This 2.25tsp is beautiful and well made and feels good in my hand. I tend to use approximately 2tsp for my loose tea, so this works delightfully for that purpose. I really like the teardrop shame and I may likely invest in a second one. Thanks!
