Excellent tent - light, compact, water-proof, and spacious - at a very affordable price!!!
I was overall very happy with this tent. I bought it in preparation for a backpacking trip with my kid. I originally bought the North Face 3-people tent for $230 but when it arrived, it felt too heavy and bulky. Then I saw this tent on Amazon for a 1/3 of the price with such good reviews so I decided to give it a shot. After going on the trip, here are my conclusions: 1) It is ultra-light AND super compact - it folds to a relatively small size which makes it very convenient to carry. 2) It is very easy to assemble. 3) It is very spacious on the inside. There were just two of us, but even with a third person it seemed that there was more than enough space for three people and the equipment. also - I am 6'3" tall and had more than enough space for myself and my long mattress. 4) There are two fairly sizable exits making it very convenient to go in and out, and the zippers are super smooth and relatively quiet (so you don't wake up your crew if you go out in the middle of the night). 5) It was raining ALL night. In the morning, the outside of the tent was covered in water drops but the inside remained completely dry! Some potential cons: 1) I have only used it once so far. I would say that the material felt thinner and cheaper vs. the North Face tent, and I don't know how durable this tent is in the long run compared to some more expensive ones, but as long as you remain gentle when building and folding it, it felt like it could easily last for long. 2) It comes without a footprint. I would recommend buying a footprint separately to make sure you keep the bottom of the tent safer. The case has more than enough room to fit the footprint inside when the tent is folded and packed. In conclusion - they definitely earned a 5-star review from me!

Very pleased with this tent
I got the 1.5 person version and used it 20 nights this Spring, Summer, and Fall on camping trips. It is surprisingly high quality for the low price, it packs small and is light weight. It easily has enough space for myself and my gear and it is plenty long. The vestibule is very convenient for storing my boots and any other gear I don't want inside the tent, I wouldn't buy a tent without a vestibule. It is quick to put up and take down and is free-standing, which means that it stands up entirely on it's own without having to tie ropes to trees or stakes to hold it up, which is a hassle. For me this tent is perfect.

Punches above its price point
We are just getting back into backpacking now that our son is old enough to go. We didnt want to spend a mint for a tent because we didnt know how the kid was going to handle the trip. It did the job. Its good quality considering the price. Easy enough for 1 person to set up if needed and fit 2 adults and a 9 year old. We weren't pressed together but we didn't have room for anything else in there. Im 6' and wide at the shoulder. My wife is small and the kid ..... is kid sized. 3 of me might be a bit cramped but otherwise its a comfy 3 person setup. Its light enough. I'll probably upgrade to something better if we make a habit of it but its good enough to get you out there. My only complaint is that it packs up long. If you're not hiking in this is an excellent starter tent but its a tight fit in a backpack. Too long to go in horizontal and sticks out the top of the bag vertically. I know its not a backpacking specific tent but its advertised as good for backpacking. Its not really, just based on the length when packed away. It'll do in a pinch and if you're like us trying to get out packing on a budget it got there and back but there are better options. you'll just probably spend more for them.

Great tent for the money.(UPDATED)
UPDATE: used the Polaris on a camping trip this weekend. No rain but heavy dew at night. Temps around 50 at night. I noticed very little condensation inside the fly with both vents open. The tent mesh keeps you off the fly. I was very impressed with the room I had for all my gear. Zips worked flawlessly. I was even able to take my small backpacking chair inside. I was a little worried about the chair feet on the tent floor but had no problems. I use a tarp underneath and I think maybe adding a towel to sit the chair on would help even more. I stayed dry and warm. It exceeded my expectations, especially for the price. After doing hours of product reviews, I chose the Polaris. I spend an average 30 nights a year in a tent. My Kelty was just a little cramped with gear, so I wanted something just a little larger. The tent arrived in short order and was complete in the package. The storage bag was sufficient. Not too heavy for medium-distance backpacking trips. I put the tent up in my yard and was pleased with the construction, materials, and size. The aluminum poles are lightweight and I found this tent to be very easy to set up. Took about 5 mins. No sleeves to deal with. I did not notice any odors in the tent. The zippers seem sufficient and come with little reflective pull strings. This is a nice touch and can help you find the zippers at night (especially if you're in a hurry to get out). The interior is roomy and there is a small vestibule at either door. Reflective tie-outs are provided if you want to use them. The tent pegs are beefier than the average cheap peg, but I still bent 2 even while being careful. I'll replace them as I usually do with better pegs. So far I'm satisfied. I have another camping trip in a few weeks. If I have any problems with the tent, I'll do an update, but I don't expect any. It may be my tent for Denali next year. I'm 5'11, 215 lbs. I think it would fit me and one other. If you're looking for an affordable tent with plenty of room and great construction, check this one out.

Great tent which packs up really small. Got a single blow up bed in there without issue, but would probably fit a double also. With the single there was room for storage. Used for a weekend camping. No moisture inside the tent in the mornings.

I have been really impressed by this tent! It is really compact when packed up, especially for a tent at this price point. The carrying bag it comes with fits everything great and has straps that you can cinch to make it even smaller. Its also fairly light considering the price point- around 5 pounds for a 2 person tent isn't bad. It is VERY easy and fast to set up, the body of the tent attaches to the poles using little clips which make setup a breeze. It has 4 internal mesh pockets for small items which are handy for glasses or a headlamp. The interior doors are nice and large and roll back neatly, and I like having the two exterior door options (the wide one with the two zippers is my favourite). As others have mentioned, the vestibules are quite small so if you are using it for two people there is not a lot of gear storage space. Bags can fit, but I found they got wet due to dew and condensation as they were right up against the tent wall. I brought along a couple of garbage bags as extra protection from this. I haven't had much opportunity (luckily) to test out just how waterproof the fly is, and I always add an extra layer of reflective tarp as a groundsheet underneath the tent to protect the floor and add a touch of insulation. Overall I really love this tent- great price and is just what I needed

I camped with this tent for 4 nights and it worked out great. One of those nights it rained and none of the water came into the tent. Setting up the tent is really quick, you just assemble the poles, clip them to the top of the tent, and then put the fly over and clip it in. You can then peg in the corners of the tent and the fly so it's not touching the tent fabric. I got the 1-man version of the tent and really does only have space for a sleeping mat and bag and that's it. The vestibule doesn't have space for a backpack but it does have space for shoes. If you have the fly flaps tied up then air will flow through the tent. The fly also has two flaps at the top that can be propped open for airflow. The tent also has 4 mini-pockets on the inside for storing valuables you want to keep track of. Rolling up the tent and getting it back into the bag is not that difficult.
