Long a** review
For starters I'd like to say, I don't normally like earbuds. Any of them. They normally hurt my ears and always fall out. I decided to give them another try and these caught my eye.Packaging: the item came in a bubble envelope and felt pretty secure. Had anything heavy been set on it, they would have been crushed BUT nothing of the sort happened.Shipping: the package arrived in my towns post office over the weekend and wasn't delivered till a day before the delivery date estimated by Amazon. So basically it arrived a day early which is perfectly fine. The item itself: the packaging that the earbuds came in was pretty nice and basic. Kind of a b**** to open but in the end, they opened. Inside it contained the earbuds, 2 sets of silicon adapters for small or large sizes, mediums are already on. There is a paper with warranty info and basic fitment/cleaning instructions. They are easy to read and understand. The wood on the body of the buds is actually very nice to look at and feel. It's clean and looks good. The wiring from the buds to the jack left a little to be desired. It's pretty stiff so it retains its original shape, that causes it to tangle easily. The material that insulates the wire is a kind of mesh thing that seems to catch on clothing a little of you have the wires tucked under a shirt or jacket. The jack itself is relatively ugly, the body is kind of big and juts out as an angle, it looks funky. A simple small jack would appeal a bit better I think.Functionality: I've had these for about 2 days and while at work finally had a chance to really use them. They are a tad bit difficult to use while working, I stock a store so I am moving pretty constantly. They never fell out of my ears but I cheated and wore a Beanie that held them in pretty well. I got a chance to use the mic, the sound coming through was clear and easy to hear, the mic seemed to work well, I didn't have feedback or have to talk excessively loud. The sound coming through the speakers is really nice considering their size, these definitely like the lower to mid range tones. If there is too much treble it won't sound as good. I've got a variety of music from bass hits to treble rock songs and it handled them all really well.My other headphones are Sony Bass boost ones that go over the ear, those have always produced a nice deep tone. The however, are nearly touching my ear drums (not really) so the bass really comes through well. The deeper it is the better. You just have to make sure you have the little silicon cup sealed in your ear pretty well. If it's not sealed up you don't get strong bass hits and hear outside noise.Overview: all in all I really like these and if I treat them as nice as my other headphones, they should last me a long time. If not for the wires being the way they are, and the ugly jack, it would be 5 out of 5. For reference, I've included a picture of the jack and buds. Paid $31 after shipping so I feel like it was a good buy.

Great sound, design flaw limits durability
I like these headphones very much. I liked them so much, I have bought four pairs. I'm on my fourth now. One pair, I just flat out lost. That's me and things like headphones. But two other pair broke and they broke in exactly the same way suggesting to me a design flaw. If you look at the headphones carefully, you see a small metal ring about 3/4 of the way out on the earpiece near the rubberized end. In both instances of breakage, this connectivity point failed. The end piece beyond the ring detaches and you start to see the wiring within the housing. In a short time, the piece fully detaches and stops working. That's a shame because I wanted to love these headphones. I have had many different headphones at all different price points from $10.00 to $70 on sale. These headphones are the best sounding. They have a deep, full, and rich bass. Whatever you're listening to on your device sounds symphonically great and not tinny or irritating as with inferior sound-reproducing headphones. It's the reason I keep buying them, perhaps foolishly. My estimation is if I can be gentle enough with them to have them last 6 months, they will be worth the purchase price. So far, they break at the 2 to 3 month point. To be fair, I am not gentle with them. I pull them off and on, use them at the gym, stuff them into my pocket or put them on the car seat when I'm not using them. So some of the wear and tear is clearly my fault. Still, that they seem to break at the same spot indicates to me a weakness in the design that could be rectified by making that joint stronger (how, I don't know, I'm not an engineer). So - recommended for great sound, better than most other headphones I have used - but be gentle with them.Additional Note: A Symphonized rep reached out to me after reading my review, apologized for any inconvenience I might have had with their product, and on their own initiative, sent me a replacement set at their own expense. I really appreciate the customer service and this is obviously a company that wants to get it right with their customers. I still love the sound of these headphones and think they are hard to beat for the price and that the richness of sound is better than headphones that are much higher priced. As I noted, I am rough with my headphones and use them for workouts, etc. So do be careful with them but I don't believe they are overly fragile. A very good buy for the buck and a company that stands by its product.

Very good quality, lightweight, and seemingly indestructible cables...
According to Amazon I've had these headphones for 8 months. They are still in prime condition even though I do not keep them in any special bag and just stuff them in my pocket once I'm done listenin to music. The cables don't even tend to get tangled because of the material they're made of.Most importantly, though, these headphones provide excellent sound quality. I still can't believe that these were only 20 pounds (and I can see they're on sale now - grab a pair while they're cheap!) They are the BEST headphones I've ever owned at this price range. I've bought in-ear Sony headphones only to have the cables snap and one headphone go dead after 5 months of use.I'll update this review in July at the 1 year mark of owning them, but for now I can wholeheartedly recommend them.

Lovely earphones - shame about the noisy cord!
These are lovely earphones. The sound produced is of very good quality, with good bass, without being too overpowering. They are also lovely and lightweight, and the fit of the ear buds is far superior to any others I have used before. The one thing I don't like, as others reviewers have mentioned, is that for some reason, you can hear the cord rubbing against your clothing through the ear buds - if this makes sense - so the noise is amplified. Even when listening to music, the sound is very loud and therefore, very annoying. If you stay still, and don't move your head at all, then there's no problem, but this seems rather unrealistic. I've never experience this with any earphones before. It must have something to do with the nylon cord type coating, which is usually a soft touch rubbery material. I must thank the seller though. I wanted to purchase some additional ear buds, but couldn't find them for sale anywhere. I e-mailed them, and they sent some spares gratis - all the way from the US!

Beautiful headphones with great sound.
My previous set of wooden headphones was a little bit of a surprise gem that I discovered in Singapore in 2011.There's a company with the name 'Little Big Sound', who makes wooden in-ear and over-ear headphones of various woods, from light to the red rosewood, to a darker wood, each with a reflective resonance (the darker the wood, the better the bass response).Anyway, I paid £20 for it as I'd never seen such affordable and nice-sounding in-ear headphones, and it lasted me a full 4 years before one of the speakers died, presumably from a worn-out cable. That's £5 for each year, and I was really impressed with the audio quality all the way through.Anyway, I couldn't order them as they were out of stock recently, and I didn't want to go through postage charges and everything, so that brought me to these headphones.I'm really impressed with their design and build quality, and I love the rope-y cable that looks like it wouldn't build up a memory coil from being stored in a rolled-up fashion.Sound quality is amazing, and I'm happy that they're super affordable, and looking to be my favourite new pair of headphones. I'd be happy to stick with them for the next 4 years.

Lasted 7 months - ok sound but wouldn’t buy again
I really liked the wooden style of these earphones and the sound was ok, but a bit muffled. A few people said I sounded muted when I called them on my phone, and I had to turn the volume up.They lasted just over 7 months of 5 day a week use before the sound went on one of the earphones. They were under £20 so not expensive, but I wouldn’t buy them again.

Stopped Working after less than a month - Better Hope for Replacement
Although I was happy with the sound quality, all of a sudden one of the ears stopped working after less than a month. I was in the middle of listening to a podcast, sitting still and nothing got caught or tangled. It left me unhappy and unimpressed. However, the seller (Royal Diamond) got in contact and kindly offered to send an unsolicited replacement that I am awaiting now. I was very much impressed by the speed and quality of service of Royal Diamond and by their courtesy in dealing with the issue. It was rare to see a company take responsibility like that, so massive kudos to them.To reiterate, I was happy with the quality of the earphones and their stylish and classy design before they broke down. If the replacement ones last longer I'm happy to add another star or two to the review.Hopefully the breakdown of my first pair will prove to be an anomaly. These things can happen...
