Amazing fridge, terrible seller
These fridges aren’t inexpensive but you get what you pay for, ARB has a well-deserved reputation for quality and this fridge is just what you’d expect. Bought this for a month long van trip, the 47 qt size turned out to be a great size for two people. Wired it up to run off the house battery and was impressed by how little draw it had to maintain fridge temps. We’d go a couple of days without running the engine and voltage on the batt hardly dipped. I set the voltage monitor to cut the fridge off very conservatively if it did start running the battery down, but it stayed on line for the whole trip. Now the disappointing part - the fridge came out of the box with cosmetic damage. Basically looked like the shipped kicked the box out of the truck, visible damage to the box and cracks to some of the plastic pieces on the exterior of the fridge. I took pics and attempted to send a note to the seller, but the app is really only set up to report shipping damage and return your item for a replacement or refund. Well the fridge functioned perfectly and we were leaving on our trip the next day, no time for a return and it only needed a couple of replacement pieces. Turns out the note I sent went to a different seller - they were all ready to source replacement parts for me when we figured out I didn’t buy it from them, doh! Dig deeper in the app and found the correct seller, Amazon got me their contact info and I called to see if they could get me the parts. Once they heard I had already started using the fridge they said nope, it’s on you now. Terrible customer service and horrible attitude from the guy on the phone. I explained they’re literally selling items for travelers - no way I was going to derail a month long trip to screw around with replacing the whole thing when all I needed was a replacement cosmetic piece. But he was all too happy to just get the call over with so he could hang up on me. Sorry bud, details matter and your job is to find a way to help your customer. But apparently they’re just in the business of fast sales, not actually helping their customers. DO NOT BUY from Trends Auto! Thankfully Amazon was very happy to help me. I’m sourcing parts through the seller I accidentally contacted and Amazon will provide a credit for their cost. Thanks Amazon for having great customer service and working with me to sort things out! The fridge is awesome and it would have been a ridiculous waste to send it back for a replacement.

Quit Cooling/Freezing After 2yrs, 4 mnths
Great Fridge. I would purchase again. Fridge quit cooling after 2yrs & 4 months. I'm disappointed it didn't last longer. Not sure what problem is. Just started looking into it. I don't think it's under warranty. I'll update when repaired. I have run this fridge freezer everyday since purchased. Use as 2nd freezer in garage when not using in my 2019 Ford Expedition... Going to reach out to ARB for some insight on what problem could be.... Buy on if you can!!!

Work amazing!!! Great for camping!
Just received my Zero 47Q 2 days ago. At first the temp was WAYYYY off. However, I called Arb USA and they assisted in calibrating the temp (i.e. press the positive and negative buttons together for 3 seconds). Once it was calibrated it work perfectly! Temp at the bottom was spot on! And at the top it was 2 degrees warmer. Once I got it cooled down I plugged it into my Jackery 1000 Explorer. Thank god it works great with the 12V DC cable using around 38-40 watts plugged in. Tested over a 24 hour period and the Jackery1000 only used 20% to run the ARB Zero 47q at 32'F the whole time. Usually the compressor will kick on after running 3 degrees warmer then set. And it will take it down 3 degree's below when settting temp. Which allow run time to be drastically reduced. So basically while were campign I can run this bad boy for 2 days without pulling out my solar saga panels to recharge it and still be at 40-50 batter life!!! I'm so freaking happy : )!! I went through a 1 month nightmare with the ICECO JP50 (i.e. which will not run via 12v DC cable to my Jackery 1000). I received a replacement and the second one had major temp issues and would run all the time. Personally I don't care the ARB is almost twice the money. When were out boon docking we need to rely on our camping gear without worrying. Good luck to all hope this was helpful!

It works great and worth the money if you camp a lot or travel a lot
We just used it on a 10 day trip our food stayed fresh and dry coffee cream juices perfect temperatures. No food got waterlogged these are all the big pluses and they really are big pluses. The only negative I have is it’s heavy and it’s big But like everything there is a compromise and I think it’s worth the compromise

Must Have
This Freezer/Fridge combo is spectacular and a must for any adventurous person. The freezer keeps all of your items frozen. There is plenty of room inside the freezer and fridge compartments. The baskets make it great for storing and sorting items.

This review is for the Zero 73 qrt dual zone unit
I have owned an ARB classic fridge since 2013 and they really upped their game with the Zero. I used to go camping often and go on road trips. I really loved how efficient these things are. They cool down fast and draw so little I run mine on 12v marine batteries for days on end. Then a few years ago I moved and now I live on top of a mountain so camping and traveling in general just seem like a downgrade so I don't do much camping anymore. Unfortunately one of the downsides to living on a mountain is frequent power outages and I have been throwing away $200-300 a year on spoiled food from power outages and I really do hate throwing out food. So I didn't get this for camping, I got this as a backup fridge for power outages. It can take days and days for it to come back on and when you live on a mountain, you're not the highest priority. After considering the various backup power options, I concluded that for my needs which is primarily about refrigeration it made the most sense just to get another portable fridge/freezer. I do have a 12v battery system and have been using the 50 quart classic but it's just not big enough. With the most recent outage after a storm, I still lost $100 in food. That ends now. Some things are familiar. The zero still makes you press a sequence of buttons to change settings. Not that big of a deal but it's not self explanatory if you haven't done it many times before. I haven't used the app yet but I can see that coming in handy. I like the independent zones. Without that you can have a fridge or a freezer but you really can't have both. If you try you end up freezing things you dont want to freeze and thawing things you dont want to thaw. I think the temperature is more accurate on the Zero. On the Classic, I had to set the adjust the differential. I used thermometers inside to be sure. You can easily ruin food by unintentionally freezing things. I think the 74 quart unit is too big for the inside of a pickup truck cabin. I did take it for an excursion into town when I went to Whole Foods about an hour away. It takes up 2/3 of the back seat. A fridge this big really needs an SUV or van. A 50 quart is a much better size for inside a pickup truck. Since this is just for power outages for me, I put it on an 18"x30" moving dolly (perfect fit) and I can conveniently move it around from the closet where it lives to the kitchen where it will be deployed in an extended power outage. There's a couple of things that I don't like about it. Unlike the classic, it doesn't have bars at the ends. Those bars make it easier to carry and tie down and they also make it easy to use an anti-theft device like a serpentine bike lock. At this price point, I would want to lock it down if I was using at a campsite and wasn't keeping an eye on it the whole time. There's only a very narrow place where you can slide a thin steel cable through but even that could be easily defeated with a pair of tin snips or an allen wrench. They really should have thought to do something where it can be easily locked down. The 74 qt size isn't too bad to carry when empty however there isn't much place to grab onto either. It's almost like they want you to drop it or have it stolen. I haven't had it for very long hopefully it stands the test of time.

A 2-year product life with really bad service experience
I bought this fridge/freezer in April 2022, along with tie down kit, roller slide out, and wiring kit. For the first 2 years it ran reliably and well, but then had regular bouts of misreading battery voltage. When this happens, the unit shuts down the fridge. It was telling me that there was low battery voltage, but I measured high 12-13 volts with a voltmeter consistently. To eliminate any doubt, I bought a new, dedicated battery. The problem persisted. I contacted ARB tech support via web and then there was back and forth with things to try, none of which resolved the problem. They sent me a shipping label to send the unit to Washington State from Florida. After about 2 weeks, the unit showed up on my porch with no notification, explanation, or notes as to what was done. It was inside a thin cardboard box with no corner protection or cushioning. Two of the corner feet were broken. I put the fridge back into service. It had the same problem as before. I contacted their tech support again with the same complaint. Again they had me ship it back to Auburn, WA for diagnosis and repair. It was gone 2-3 weeks. I heard nothing from them about receiving the unit, testing, diagnosis, repair, next steps, or anything else. The trucking carrier coordinated delivery with me but there was no communication fro ARB about what they found or what they did until I contacted them. The unit still has the same problem. Now they want me to drive it 100 miles to a “local” dealer to start all over again. I am beyond frustrated. This fridge has a 3-year warranty and I’ve had it just over 2 years. Do not buy an ARB refrigerator unless you want to pay big bucks and then find out they will not honor the warranty. They should be sued. They do not care about their products or their customers. There are better products on the market for half the money.

Great freezer but with design flaws
We have bought two of these and they are 5 times more expensive than your cheap Chinese models. We bought our first in 2021 and they are super efficient on power. We bought a second in 2026 but they both suffer from the same issues. The lid has a plastic lock and over time this mechanism breaks because it’s a weak plastic. It really needs to be metal. When you consider how much you pay for these it’s a shame the lid lets it down

Expensive but worth every penny!
I've had this for nearly a year now and have taken it on camping trips, to the family cottage where it served as a backup fridge, to Crown Land, and have driven it halfway across the country where it spent two weeks in the middle of a dusty drought in the prairies (see picture). On that trip, I had the fridge plugged in and running for nearly 3 weeks straight and it kept all our food at a perfect temp. Outside temperatures were into the high 30s (celcius) and this fridge kept right on ticking. As you can see from the picture, the prairie dust made it into every nook and cranny on the fridge, but not even a hint of it inside. When we got home, I blew it off with an air compressor and continues to work as good as new. I'm not going to lie, this thing is ridiculously expensive. But it's built like a tank. It rides around with me in the (covered) bed of my F150 all the time and I use it for all the things I mentioned above as well as just bringing groceries home in the summer. I would buy it again in a second and have recommended it to anyone that sees it. I've used it 99% of the time running on 12V plugged into my truck, but have used it on AC power too. Both work just fine. The app is super basic and looks like it wouldn't be out of place on an iphone 3G. But it works and does what its supposed to do, and for an app to connect to my fridge, that's really all I need.
