I got this to replace another EcoAir dehumidifier. I like the way this one looks, and the controls are great. This one is easy to move short distances because of the wheels, but awkward to carry from room to room because the handle is awkward. I also can't seem to pull out the water container without making a mess and spilling it everywhere. Also, if I try to empty the container before it it is full, the water keeps dripping and forms a puddle in the time it takes me to walk to the bathroom and back.

Unit looks nice, is easy to use, does the job of collecting moisture in the air.From the other reviews it seems to be luck of the draw whether you get one that operates at the advertised silent noise levels or one that rattles and buzzes so loudly you can hear it on the other side of the house.I don’t mind fan noise or humming but there’s no way anyone could sleep in the same room with the machine that I received. Amazon’s typically great customer service team have arranged for mine to be picked up and for a replacement to be delivered, so hopefully I get lucky second time around because in all other areas this seems like a great little unit, but this kind of random chance that you might get the product as advertised on an appliance that costs nearly £200 is unacceptable.UPDATE: Second unit is much quieter, it has the fan noise you would expect and the gentle humming of a similar sized mini fridge - far more in line with what was advertised. Get one that has been made right and this is a 5 star product, but I’ve knocked a star off for how many of these seem to have issues.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a very early review, I will add more detail after prolonged use.First impressions were good, looks well made, looks good and whilst it is heavy, it is easy to move around.I switched it on and followed the set up instructions, the book is clear. It was at this point that I discovered the jet engine in my lounge. There are three settings, effectively low, med and high. The low is what you can hear in the video, anything more powerful and you will be disturbed if you are relaxing or watching tv. Our main use will be during the day to assist drying washing so it won’t cause too much issue but be aware, it is loud.Economy seems good, the smart meter jumped up between 3 and 6p per hour based on level of usage, again, this will be good for drying clothes. It will only be on about 6 hours a day so it won’t be expensive to run (Nov 22 prices).Consider your needs, if this is going to be used in a living/sleeping area, be ready for the noise.It dragged around 1 litre of water in 4 hours of use after set up, approx 4 hours on low setting… impressive.I hope this helps.

Does everything as specified but the noise level was higher than expected. It is very energy efficient as we kept it on 60% humidity setting and constantly on and only added 10 pounds to our electric bill.

I live in a park home with a serious damp problem so I bought two DD1s one for each end of the home and yes they worked fine but running two at the same time was expensive, now this new machine, Ecoair Summit replaced the two older machine and even though there is only one the complete home remains dry even in the low mode and when my wife does the washing she hangs it on a airier in the kitchen when we go to bed and in the morning it’s dry, amazing, I found the controls a bit fiddly at first but like anything new you have to get used to it, the motor does make a slight noise but that’s a small price to pay for such a outstanding machine, very highly recommended.

No dislikes. It tells you how damp your house. It's very quiet when running and it does what it say very happy. Amazon is selling it the cheapest £169.

This review is for the EcoAir Low Energy Dehumidifier 12L/Day – 3 in 1 Filter inc Carbon Filter – Laundry Mode, Timer....I've had this for a month or so now, and had it on perhaps 50% of the time, including in the bedroom overnight. Its great. The amount of water it has been collecting is staggering. I've moved it into other rooms with ease (its heavy, but easily liftable for an able person, and it has wheels too). I'm really pleased with my purchase so far. I just hope it continues to perform and doesn't break down.

Had read reviews and didn’t think it would do much to help dry the clothes indoors over winter. Boy I was wrong. This is so easy to set up and empty. Dried the clothes so much faster. Really impressed
