Amazing experience to see a VR video; badly designed viewer spoils it.

*by M***N on Reviewed in the United States on November 12, 2015*

It's impossible to wear this with glasses on. Even without glasses, it's very uncomfortable to wear with the strap in place. The lenses are fixed in the cardboard so maybe they match the spacing of your eyes, but then again, maybe they don't. If they don't match up exactly with your eyes, you see double images. I could close one eye to watch the NY Times virtual reality video, and it was amazing to turn one's head to one side and see the field of view shift to that side. Turn your head up and you look at the ceiling or sky. Turn your head down and you see the ground or the floor. Amazing, but the inflexible design of this makes it very difficult to enjoy the viewing experience. In addition to the poor design: The head strap is barely long enough for a head that wears a small hat size (mine). Assembling it is like being told to restore an unfolded origami. The instructions printed on the cardboard don't tell you or show you that it's necessary to fold a couple of pieces over on themselves. There are numbered tabs, but until you re-fold the origami properly, they don't line up. The illustration on the outer flap helps, but you're meant to discard it. Bad design, bad instructions. Unfortunate, because the concept is brilliant. Llook elsewhere for a better viewer.

Good to try out the VR capabilities of the phone ...

Good to try out the VR capabilities of the phone bug it fell apart and the double side tape does not stick any more after a couple months. getting the phone in and out is kind of a pain as is adjusting the volume. It will not accommodate phone cases that well especially it its a thick one. You will not be able to use your glasses with this, and if your eyes buldge out like me, it will constantly rub against the eye peice. Furthermore, the nose rest is very uncomfortable. If you sweat a lot, or just have oily skin, this product will turn icky in a few uses.If you are curious about VR and don't want to spend a couple hundred on an actual VR set, this might scratch your itch before you invest. But as you might expect, this is no long term product.Overall, I'm glad I bought it to experience VR at a cheap price. I will consider getting a proper set if it comes bundled with a deal in the future.

Pretty cool VR, but has its flaws. Keep in mind, there is NO headstrap.

*by B***U on Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2015*

After 1 night of playing around with this VR cardboard V2, I have to say that it is pretty cool. Riding a roller coaster, or attempting to escape the room really gives you a whole new experience.I wonder if there is a wireless controller that can work with VR games to control the movement rather then having to press on the phone or use the crosshair. One thing that I am really disappointed about is the fact that there is NO headstrap on V2. Now I know there was no mention in the description if there was or wasn't a headstrap, but not even the company's website offers a headstrap for this. I was holding the box to my face as I was trying to enjoy the VR. This really took away from the experience. The company told me to buy from another seller. One other thing is that the bottom and sides of the cardboard are open and you can easily see the surrounding areas. I was using my hands to cover up any light. Another reviewer mentioned this and modified the VR a bit. I'm not sure if this is with all VR's or just these. After doing a little more research, it looks like the description of my order clearly states that a headstrap is included (see attachment). Now I think I will return this item as I have not received what I ordered.
