A decent history of whites failed attempt to take the Colorado River crossing in Grand Valley (Moab) U. T. in 1855.
A well told popular history, the work is obviously told by Mormon homers. That is fine, but be aware that they miss the issue of the whites' economic, spiritual, and cultural appropriation of Sheberetch Indian resources.

Well Written
The author does a great job putting together the little information that is available on this mission and turns it into a very interesting read on the first attempt to settle Moab.
