Best permanent pen for the sewing room
I bought another brands of fine tip permanent ink pens for years but always hated that they dried up if I left the cap off for 10 minutes. I finally tried these Pilot pens and love that they don't dry up that fast. Haven't tested to see how long it would take but I haven't lost one of these yet due to forgetting to cap it. Also they have no odor. These work nicely on fabric if you use a light hand and very little pressure. They last a long time.

Like using India ink in a fine point marker
Very good product. We used these to mark up white plastic circuit tags for railroad signal circuits. (All RR circuits had to be marked per FRA regs) Retired, I still use them for things I want marked permanently. NO SMUDGE! Care must be taken with these because they are very delicate. Tip: Store them upside down.

THE SUPERIOR DOTTING PEN FOR PATHOLOGY
This pen is a must-have for me as an anatomic surgical pathologist. I cannot work without it.. Sharpie Ultra Fine Point? Garbage. CANCER DIAGNOSTICS, INC Moist Mark Plus? $$$ Garbage! This Pilot ultra fine point pen writes cleanly and briskly on glass, perfect for dotting anything of interest. The green and blue colors stand out nicely on H&E. Can be handled once dry, but wipes clean with a dab of alcohol.

WRITES LIKE BUTTAH, but the bleedthrough's a deal-breaker! :(
I've been looking for a replacement for my (SADLY!) discontinued TUL MARKER PENS. These pens write like buttah--smooth and dark, better than the TUL pens--and they have that nice soft-but-not-round feel of a marker pen that I like. They make my handwriting look stunning! The main downside (and reason why I probably won't get these again) is that the bleedthrough is really bad, making the backside of the page nigh-unreadable. And this isn't on cheap notebook paper, it's in a LEUCHTTURM Master Notebook. That's a dealbreaker for me. :( Otherwise these pens are super. Go, pathologists! [EDIT] I used these pens last night in conjunction with colored Sharpie Markers on heavyweight art paper, and they didn't smear. So I can also endorse these for art use! [EDIT] Also these are great for writing dates on plastic baggies. Less food waste, huzzah!

Perfect for histology
You can't go wrong with these marking pens. They work very well on glass slides. One problem I've had with similar pens from other brands is air-drying; by the time the pen is brought into the field of view, it is already too dry to write on a slick surface like glass. This isn't an issue with these marking pens, they are quite reliable. They make great gifts for pathology residents, by the way.

If you read slides, you need these pens
If you are a pathologist or anyone else who reviews slides, you need these pens. There is no better product on the market for dotting slides. The colors are highly visible, the point is very fine, it dries quickly (no smearing), and if you make a mistake, the ink comes right off with alcohol. The one caveat: if you are going to use these as dotters, you can not also use them for anything else. Even jotting off a few quick Post-Its is enough to fray the tip so that precise dotting turns into a mess.

Reliable
The markers are reliable, i.e. they work consistently on smooth surfaces like glass. This is in contrast to Sharpies, which are very fiddly in this regard.
