Filter Paper 02 White, 100 Count

I’ve been using these white filter papers for my Chemex, and they work perfectly. The paper is thick and high quality, so it doesn’t tear or collapse during brewing. It fits my Chemex well and allows the water to flow through evenly, giving me a clean, smooth cup of coffee every time. I also like that there’s no papery taste — just pure coffee flavor. Like probably countless others, I have a Hario Switch. Love it. Makes great coffee. But uses filters. I like the natural unbleached paper. They work, cheaper in bulk. Stock up when on sale, you'll need 'em sooner or later. I've went though my first 100 of these already. None of them ripped. They filtered perfectly, enough sticks out of the lip of the Switch so you can grab it and yank it out when dumping the grounds. 5 stars.

Excellent product, will be purchasing again, quality better than others

When these work, they work fine, but they keep breaking apart when wet. Not sure whether I got a bad batch or this is true across the board.I have the unbleached ones, so I don’t know whether the white version would be better.

Although more expensive than other filters these are well worth it. The wife purchased some #2 filters from seller lingbeiying because they were cheaper but the filters were poor quality and much smaller than the Hario filters. We hate drinking coffee grounds in our coffee. We tossed the filters from lingbeiying and reordered the Hario filters.

Amazon suggests that I should grade these filters for "Flavor" and "Easy to clean" features ratings. Here goes... Generally these filters are wonderful. I've gone through at least 1000 of them over the years and have never had a defective one. Top notch quality and ease of use for sure. I will continue using this product for as long as I make single cup pour over coffee. Easy to clean rating = 1 star I brewed a pour over cup this afternoon and everything went as perfectly as ever. Then, instead of adding the used grounds and filter into the compost bin like normal, I started the task of cleaning the filter out. I dumped the grounds into bin but there were a lot of grounds left stuck to the filter. I could not get them all out this way. So I tried scooping with my fingers but that just proved super messy. (And now my fingers smell like coffee.) I had to rinse the filter in the sink to get most of the grounds out, but there were still a few stuck in the welded seam. I worked at the crease trying to get all the bits out but ended up tearing the filter. Definitely not an easy task. I don't want to dry and reuse this torn filter again. I just don't think I'm a wash out the paper filter and reuse it again type of person at this stage of my life if this is how difficult they are to clean. Flavor = 1 star I tried eating these two ways. One was trying a filter straight out of the package, and the second was tasting parts of the filter I tried to clean out in the "Easy to clean" test. It is important to note that I have an aversion to eating paper so I admit that I entered this rating task already biased. The story behind that bias is that I was bet that I couldn't eat a paper napkin when I was 16. I won the bet, but haven't been able to put paper in my mouth without getting the heebie-jeebies ever since. So because of my bias, the wet filter was a better experience. Both tasted bad. The used filter at least had a little coffee flavor but I had already washed most of that away. Since the filter was already wet, it didn't make me cringe as much as the first dry test. Maybe it would have tasted better had I left some grounds on it. Both taste tests net out in a flavor rating of AWFUL. I'd not recommend these for flavor at all. If you stick to the primary use case of a single brewing through this product, and do not eat them, they are perfect.

Ich nutze diese Hario Filter nun schon eine Weile und bin absolut überzeugt. Die Verarbeitung ist – wie von Hario gewohnt – sehr hochwertig. Das Wichtigste für mich: Der Kaffee schmeckt einfach toll. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich, dass die Filter absolut geschmacksneutral sind. Selbst wenn man das Papier vorher nicht mit heißem Wasser durchspült (was bei anderen Marken oft Pflicht ist), habe ich keinen Papiergeschmack im Kaffee feststellen können. Einziger Wermutstropfen ist der Preis, der im Vergleich zu Standard-Filtern etwas höher liegt. Aber für das Ergebnis in der Tasse nehme ich das gerne in Kauf. Fazit: Trotz des Preises werde ich sie definitiv wieder kaufen. Klare Empfehlung für alle, die guten Kaffee lieben.
