Great sound, great blue tooth - easy switching between multiple devices
Why did you choose this product over others?:Bought these as a gift for my son about six months ago. He absolutely loves them and particularly the ability to link multiple bluetooth devices simultaneously. It's dead easy to switch between them either using the remote or simply pressing the volume button. So although linked to the TV it's very easy to switch to the record player, your phone friend's phone etc. The sound is excellent for the price.

Sound value
Mr Edifier's little bookshelf active speakers are just brilliant. Bought them for use in kitchen - a 7m long room - and they will fill the space if asked. Quality improves the closer you get as you would expect from a bookshelf device. The sound quality is surprisingly good. Particularly so for human singing voice which, for me, is a paramount indicator of what a speaker can do. They are nearly as good as my Quad AS9 set in lounge. Given that the Edifiers cost £120 ("cheap" white ones) and the Quads were £600, this is just unbelievable value. They will handle just about every kind of music, from simple voice, through rock bands to full orchestra. The bass can be a bit heavy at times but is easily adjusted on the bass/treble dials. My stuff goes through digital equalisers on my PC and phone and they handle that well too.Useful set of input ports for just about every combination of line and digital. Only thing missing here is a USB input port which I would use when needing quality a bit better than Bluetooth. That said, the Bluetooth itself delivers pretty good sound quality. I have a CD player connected through the optical port and it works marvellously.Okay, they lack a lot of the digital stuff you get from "dedicated" Bluetooth speakers like Sonos and the like. But I don't want to be able to talk to them, I don't want them to play in other rooms or choose what they think I should listen to. Wouldn't mind if they could make me a coffee but we don't seem to have come that far yet!So, if you want really good quality sound for a budget price, buy the Edifiers. Great quality for absurdly low price.

Surprisingly good
I wanted to get my son his first vinyl set up.I read so many recommendations for these speakers but snobbery kept taking to other speakers. In the end I heard these in a person in a local store and was shocked at how good they are. For a first set up they are perfect. Will work well in small to medium rooms.

Just buy them!
Omg I’m in love with them. After something that felt like a research project looking for speakers that’ll be right for me, after reading the reviews of these hidden gems I thought why not. They arrived today and they’ve gone well above and beyond my expectations. I’m in love! They fill the room with sound, movies sound true to sound (they match my Samsung surround sound for my tv, quality wise). Music is basy! The audio is clear and crisp and really makes such a huge difference, my computer recognised them as “Spacial Sound”. For the price? The quality is amazing, I’m so glad I gave them a chance and if you’re after something reasonably priced, speakers that aren’t tinny sounding and something that actually does what it says on the tin; then please give these a go and you won’t be disappointed!

Impressive
To say that I am surprised by these speakers would be an understatement, don't get me wrong, these are not audiophile speakers, the bass is okay, the midrange and treble are well defined, overall these speakers perform well above their price point.I am using the optical connection for my turntable, via a preamp and the line inputs for my CD player. The digital processing works very well and the analogue inputs are handled really well.Overall these speakers are astonishing, for the money.

Excellent quality and Value for Money
Was very sceptical about giving these a go given the price range. Bought to use with a Teac Bluetooth turntable where some reviews suggest sound quality suffers when using Bluetooth with a turntable - this is not the case with these speakers. Excellent quality build, they feel solid and substantial and sound quality does not disappoint at all. At the price range it’s hard to see where these can be beaten.

Really nice pair of bookshelf speakers
Really pleased with this purchase; they deliver excellent audio quality with a wide frequency range and a pleasant sound (to my amateur ears anyway). They support multiple inputs, including RCA, SPDIF and Bluetooth, and they come with interconnects in the box. The remote control works well and is easy to use, though very directional (it's IR - you have to point it straight at the r/h speaker). The only minor drawback is that the LED indicator is on the side of the speaker, which makes it hard to see if the speaker is mounted near a wall. Other than that, I highly recommend these to anyone looking for a good pair of bookshelf speakers
