This product is supposed to discourage dogs from eating their own waste. i rescued an older Setter, and her one disgusting habit was eating her own waste. I found these Dis-Taste chews by Drs. Foster & Smith and have been giving them to her daily ever since. She loves them and thinks they are treats. The best thing is they absolutely work, as she hasn't eaten her waste at all ever since I started giving them to her.

It seemed to discourage, but not stop behavior. One dog with known allergies seemed to have reaction. When it was discontinued, allergies improved.

I have a German Shorthaired Pointer that I have been using this on. Initially, it seemed like it worked, then seemed like it didn't so I upped the dosage per the instructions. We were able to catch him in the act but never completely deter him from eating poop. Then it hit me, this boy eats literally anything. Edible or not.. from lotion to brushes and anything in between. Because he does literally eat anything I cannot give this product a fair assessment. If my dog weren't a literal garbage disposal I may have a more favorable outcome. My solution is just to clean up the poop immediately to prevent any temptation. If this is your dog's only bad habit, it may work for you. If you have a walking garbage disposal like I do, it probably won't. I'd encourage anyone to give it a try though...you never know.

It has helped but has not gotten rid of the problem.

With 5 dogs in the household it is hard to get out there and clean up the morning and evening poos in time before our litt;lest would start snacking on it. This seems to have curbed her insistence in eating the poo

This is the only thing I can find that works for my dog’s nasty habit. Need to always be in stock of this.

Stool eating

My heeler likes to eat my labs poop. This product was recommended to me. I used it faithfully on my lab and even doubled the dosage but it did not deter my heeler.
