Vegetable Stock, 32 oz Carton

I like having swans and soups on hand because I never know when I’m going to need something for soup. This time I toes the 32 ounce box of vegetable broth and I’m glad I did Swanson products have a good flavor. You just have to watch the salt content. This can be modified by what you add to your soup and minimize the salt.

Excellent quality product. Brand name you can trust. Vegetable can be hard to find at times.

I wanted to write a review about this product AND the excellent packaging. The veggie stock is marvelously seasoned giving whatever I cook in it an upgraded taste ( beans, different pastas, etc). Of course Swanson chicken stock is the ultimate go to. BUT The seller’s packaging was thoughtfully done! The plastic bags on two of the boxes was a super “just in case” idea. See for yourself. Easily my favorite vegetable stock. I mostly use it to make pumpkin soup in the fall. I substitute it in for chicken stock because I actually prefer it. We've also used it for vegetarian matzoh ball soup for passover. Every other vegetable stock I've tasted is either bitter, too sweet, tastes watered down or lacks umami flavor. This one strikes all the right notes and has always been perfect.

I like to keep a nice supply of broth due to my using it so often. I don’t have to use a lot of seasonings with it. I use it with greens, soup, beans, stir fry, rice and frozen vegetables. I like it because it’s not salty tasting.

On the downside, it’s a bit saltier than I prefer, so I sometimes dilute it with water. The flavor is also lighter compared to homemade broth. Overall, it’s a convenient and reliable option for everyday cooking when you need something quick and simple!

I make many soups and always start with broth instead of water. Depending on the type of soup I will use either Vegetable or Chicken (sometimes Beef) Makes the finished soup SO much tastier. SWANSON is always a plus!
