Perfect for my monitors on the desk surface
I bought these (used) to raise a set of nearfields on one of my mixing desks. They are pretty solid but I four-starred the sturdiness rating only because these stands are adjustable and as a result have some inherent "wiggle" in the stand. They work fine and do the job but there may be some movement of noise generated during use.

Quality
I'm using these stands with 35 lbs. speakers. I was looking for something better but these are working so far. They are sturdy enough but a kid or dog could knock the speakers off the stand.

Solid piece of studio gear, well built
Excellent product, does it what it says on the tin. Rapidly delivered. Some of the taps for screws were a bit tight and was a little pensive but with a little elbow grease they tightened down without issue. Slight damage to one of the plastic covers on the base, but it's nothing I can't live with. I would order this brand again without hesitation.

Solid monitor stands...but
Overall these are great studio monitor stands. They fit my 5" monitors well and are well made. My only quarrel with them is how the monitor tilt is designed for monitors to be layed down horizontally rather than vertically. The vast majority of monitors are made to be vertically oriented so it's kind of a silly design implementation, but not the end of the world, I just got some acoustic pads that were angled and boom "problem" fixed. Otherwise, great monitor stands for the price!

Solid
The media could not be loaded. These stands are getting alot of hate here, so I was a bit skeptical... Seeing as I already own some of Gater Frameworks products (all great), I took a chance.... These stands are tanks, and they look amazing in the studio!! Anyone that may end up with screws missing (seems to be the major complaint) I'm sure if you contact the folks at GF they'll work with you!

The plastic parts are a point of failure
Plastic parts feel like they’re there to prevent slippage and keep the metal components in place but they seem to be doing the opposite, at least on the set of these that I got. That being said, they work great as long as I don’t bump or touch them much

Great and flexible monitor stands!
For comparison's sake: Canadian music retailer Long and McQuade sells a pair of basic, primitive Yorkville studio monitors at $125 CAD apiece! Yes, this is $250 for something that should cost much, much less. And here you have a pair of very well designed, simple to assemble stands from Gator, good for larger studio monitors, at a price of a single Yorkville stand. Crazy! The Gators are, simply, excellent and will make very useful addition to any studio, be it home, project or professional. Very good product, five stars.

Better than expected
These stands can hold my NS244s and at full volume they don’t interfere with my turntables. In this picture they are at full height. You can swivel them so redirecting the speaker sound is easy. I recommend these stands for home studio and DJ set ups.
