tawa is awesome. Dosa doesnt stick to the surface. It is preseasoned and require proper handling of the product for effective working. After using it for some months all i can say that dosa comes nice and crispy. Never wash this product with soap or detergent only warm water and salt will do the work. always remember to coat tawa with oil for storing and you will never regret the purchase

Perfect 2 in 1- Must buy
If one is aware how to maintain and season a cast iron, then this is just perfect dosa and grill tawa. Worth the money very tasty and crispy dosa. Very durable as its cast iron. Con - not for elderly ppl as its too heavy for them to lift and will not be convenient. Size is way too big if you are using 3 burner it will touch the middle burner too. But good to make multiple pan cake or uthappams.

Kind of spatulas for scrapping dosas ?
Just a quick question for meyer .. what sort of spatulas are compatible with the cast iron tawas for scrapping the dosas?? Stainless steel??Silicons? Wooden?

beautiful:), heavy, expensive ( bought it in sale), no easy maintenance but WORTH IT.
It’s good. Though pricey. Very. Cheaper Indian make options are available. At the same time the Indian counterpart products are not up to the mark as indicated by the reviewers. I waited for almost a year to buy this in sale. But happy with the purchase. Size is appropriate. Can use it for multi purposes for ex I use it make rotis daily on tawa side and grill fish on the other. Maintainance is hard, it’s a very heavy tawa/grill. But it’s worth it. Pre seasoning is awesome, surface is even.

Fragile and will break
I bought Meyer utensils trusting the brand and quality. Their steel products - kadai and pan are really good quality. However, the handle of tawa and grill came as a shock... It's handle was broken. Disappointed.. I initited the return. Will buy other cast iron tawa for 999 as an alternative from some other brand. Never expected this from Meyer... My trust in brand was short lived. My sincere advice.. Don't go for this product owing to lack of durability of handle.

Thick, solid built, great quality. Go for Meyer products.
Thick, solid built, great quality. Well seasoned throughout, no rusty spots on this brand new item. My first cast iron purchase. Works both sides on Induction cooktop. Retains heat well and provides even cooking surface. Make sure to get 26cm and above induction ring if you plan to use it on induction. I initially bought Phillips HD 4938 induction, but it came with 12-20cm induction surface. Returned it and bought Kent KB-83 which came with 12-26cm induction surface. I think only Kent is offering above 20cm. I couldn’t find 20cm and above induction surfaces from other brands. My experience with other brands - I liked Lodge Combo cooker which can be used as deep skillet, shallow skillet and medium sized dutch oven. It feels light, seasoning looks like paint and chipping off, I can see rust on the brand new item, shows how poorly made. So, don’t let “made in USA” tag fool you. I’m keeping it because of its functionality and nothing like it being available in India. Sad that Meyer doesn’t have wider range of product offerings.

Sturdy, well built but heat isn't uniform
I finally bought this after breaking my head as to which CI tawa would I need. This is a two in one version (tawa plus grill) so I thought it would justify the price. It's heavy as it should be and has smaller dimensions than to a conventional tawa due to the edges. While I tried it out, the non stick like seasoning wasn't an issue, but the major problem is that the dosa gets burnt at the centre while anything beyond the 4 inches radius still remains uncooked. Far from what you except. This is very disappointing after having spent a good amount of money on this. I still kept it with a hope that the grill side would be useful sometime when I need. Can't recommend this as it defies the basic purpose. More than welcome for any suggestions that can help me make hotel like crispy dosas on this.

World class product now available in India
Excellent product from Meyer my second cast iron product after a skillet.Baked vegetables and made dosa successfully for the first time. Making dosa is tricky. You must turn off flame after preheating and pour and spread the batter. After spreading turn on flame at full and reduce after 30 seconds and spray oil.Dosa will be crispy.
