## Questions & Answers

**Q: what about a warranty**
A: I have not used the warranty. It would cost more to send it in than to get a new one. It turns off quite quickly. You get what you pay for. It is accurate, just shuts off quickly if not used.

**Q: does this readout in Grains or just Grams?**
A: It will readout grains, grams, carats and ounces. very accurate, I have tested it with certified weights and found it to be right on the money from .001 grains up to 750 grains. For the money you can't go wrong.

**Q: Does this scale come with a 'cup' or other device to pour the powder into that you can then pick up and dump back into the powder hopper or case mouth**
A: Matt, Yes it does...it comes with a little aluminum cup with pour spout, small but functional...also come with a weight to calibrate scale. This is a nice scale...I ditched my manual scale after I got this!

**Q: Has anyone tried to use the Advanced or Ultimate Lithium Batteries in this unit?**
A: Are you having problems with battery life? Or do you want to leave your batts in the unit for 10 years?

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great reloading scale for a low price
*by on Reviewed in the United States May 4, 2012*

My son in law recommended this Frankford electronic scale to me. Otherwise I would never have considered such a low priced electronic reloading scale. Wow, I am pleasantly surprised!I have reloaded for over 24 years using an RCBS 10-10 balance scale. It has served me well but a balance scale is way to slow to weigh a lot of bullets or cases. I just couldn't see spending $150 or more on a mid-range reloading scale when I already had the 10-10 scale. At this low price I thought why not try it?I first checked it several times against the included check weight and my RCBS check weight. It varies by 0.1 - 0.2 grains from one weighing to another of the same 250 grain check weight. Not bad, as a balance scale is probably within 0.1 gr +/- just from the visual judgement.Next, I weighed about 350 .223 Rem cases to sort them by headstamp and weight range. Now I am impressed. The scale registered within about one second and I was able to go through the whole batch about as quickly as I could move the cases on and off the scale. Cases of the same headstamp averaged variance of a couple of grains with a few outliers of a few grains variance. +/- 0.2 gr was insignificant for this as well as for weighing bullets. Finally I threw my current load of 26.4 gr of powder from my powder measure, double checked it on the RCBS 10-10 balance scale and it was dead on with the Frankford scale. I removed the pan with the powder on it and replaced it to see if it would register teh same weight, and repeated this many times. Again, the Frankford scale read the same weight +/- 0.1 gr.I am very happy with this little scale. It is perfectly suitable for weighing cases and bullets. Not sure I would trust it all by itself to weigh powder, but I plan to use it to quickly narrow the measure adjustments down and then do a final double check with the balance scale. This is going to get a lot of use!Features I like:- Fast weight registering (main purpose for an electronic scale!)- Accurate and acceptably consistent for most reloading tasks- Several units to select from: grains, grams, oz, carats- Defaults to the last unit you were using- Auto shut off, and quick on cycle (few seconds)- Back light available but not needed in work lighted area- Simple operation- Tare feature to zero with empty pan on scale- Snap cover to protect the scale pad- Reasonably large display numerals so I can read it standing up at the benchAs with any electronic scale there are caveats: let it warm up as per instruction for most accurate weighing, but it is usable in most situations within a few seconds. Keep away from electric motors, fluorescent lights, and breezes. Trickling is difficult for electronic scales, so it is better to remove the pan, trickle a bit more, then put the pan back on. If this was your only scale I would re-check the final weigh in several times to ensure no transient variables occurred. That is, use it to quickly narrow down your intended powder charge, and when you think you have the measure set correctly, then re-weigh it a few times to make sure it registers the same weight. If you plan to trickle charges frequently then you may want to consider the higher end scales designed for that. Otherwise this is a good scale at an exceptional price for weighing cases, bullets and adjusting powder measures.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Scale, especially for the $$
*by on Reviewed in the United States January 24, 2013*

Received the scale quickly, opened up the package. Came with the scale that has a plastic cover, a calibration weight, a tray, and a pouch that you can set everything in.The scale takes two AAA batteries. Has a light up screen. If you have something on the scale when you turn it on, it zeroes itself. Tested the scale in grams after zeroed with the weight a total of 20 times. It was right on the weight w/out any +/- deviation. I do wish they had a weight calibration for grains, however I did test the grains with sheets of paper. Seems to be within .005 of actual weight. Tested multiple times, coming up with the same weight and adding the paper strips 5/16 size was consistant, however, not 100% sure but between a balance scale, and this scale one of them is off. I would say the balance scale is off, but without having a known grain weight that is 99.9% sure of it's accuracy, I have to go by the zero weight in grams.Overall, it's a small package. I feel that this is a good deal for most people. If you weight your powders with every load, then there are def. better options out there that will feed and weight more. However if you are like me, I want to test initial set up and test within my sets to see if the deviations have changed, but I do not weight every charge as I am not coming close to max load.I would recommend this product. Seems good. I would say though to take care of it. I feel one good drop and its done with an accurate measure. If you take care of it, and if you get deviations, change the batteries before you call it a day. For the price and what it does, I'd give it an A for those that will weigh sparsely, however if you weigh every load, I'd give it a c as there are better products out there that are more efficient.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great scale at a great price!
*by on Reviewed in the United States April 26, 2013*

Despite some of the less-than-stellar reviews, I found absolutely nothing wrong with this scale. It worked right out of the box, and is very intuitive to use (meaning you don't have to read the manual to figure it out).I weighed 80 powder charges 3x each, and with less than 5 exceptions, the weights were dead on. I confirmed with my balance beam scale. As others have said, it does not react well to trickling small amounts of powder without removing the tray from the scale and resetting, but is a minor inconvenience at most. It's not a high-end scale, but it does not come at a high-end price tag either. For the casual hobby reloader that isn't looking for match grade powder loads, this is more than accurate. I'm not the best shot, but with the consistent powder charges, I'm shooting sub 1/2" MOA at 100yds. I could never do that with factory loads. If you are just getting into loading, or need an easy-to-use, accurate scale to double-check or even augment a balance-beam scale, this is the one you should get.
