Good call, but I wouldn’t hunt with it.
I’ll start by saying this is a good sturdy call. It does not open (or at least I haven’t managed to open mine) and the extra tone hole takes a little getting used to, but the call overall is tough and gets the job done. I’ll say the call definitely sounds like a duck, but it isnt a mallard. If it is a mallard hen call, it is definitely a very young mallard call. It’s a lot more high pitched than my pro series Jase Robertson call. I bought this call pack so I could have a call to give my little brother when I take him hunting with me this year, and again the call does its job especially for the price. The whistle is the real catch. It’s not loud and very plasticy (if that’s a word) and really both calls are very plastic. Not necessarily cheap plastic, but plastic and light. But the whistle sounds as good as my Duck Commander counterpart that I bought for the price of both of these calls combined. A good call for beginners trying to learn. But I don’t think I personally would hunt with it. But to each their own! If you buy this call pack, best of luck to you! If you’re a serious hunter like myself, check out their more expensive options for that real mallard sound.

The sound for the price is untouchable!!!!!!!
I love these calls! Both are great! The one I got was glass green which I prefer but some ppl would be upset cuz it wasn't the color in the pic. Anyways the calls make great sounds. this is my 25th caller and it sounds a lot like some that ran me $30-$40. the bonus finger tone is great! it makes it sound like two def ducks if use correct! The whistle is a must if u don't have one! I will buy more buck gardner gear cuz the double nasty sounds great also, for a low price call!

funny becuae i have a few expensive calls but maybe since im a beginner these are much easier to call with. Sound isnt quite as good but worked the ducks with this perfectly fine
