It still has legs
As always, it was a joy to return to Henry Adams and its citizens. Felt good to see how the kids are growing, maturing, and focusing on their futures (especially the original five who were the impetus for Bernadine buying and developing the town). Even more, it was good to see Riley Curry and Leo Brown hook up and get the proverbial hook, and Sheila Barrett get the confidence to run for mayor, against her husband no less! There's even a special appearance by Thad and the Oklahoma Julys, much to the chagrin of Tamar. But as always, Bernadine and her awesome oversight of the town and its citizens, along with her relationship with Mal, were of prime interest to me. Let's face it, at the end of the day, they make each other happy. Kudos to author Beverly Jenkins for continuing to write such an interesting series. It continues to prove that even in a fictional small town, there are hundreds of stories to which readers can relate, laugh about, and feel good about the outcomes.

Need a respirator!!
I love this series, but it appears that Ms. Jenkins has other things on her mind. She has drawn very good characters who seem to be going through the motions in the last few books. This was a little on the lazy side. Ms. Jenkins, sit down and write out about each character, yes the book will be a little longer than the standard three hundred pages, but your vibrant characters deserve it. I have read enough of the books I can help you. Yes, please continue because we need writers like you who are sensitive to stories to not just romance, but, culture, history, and spirituality all at the same time. We deserve better and you can do better. If you need me I can help. Breathe some life into these characters. They sat on a shelf for almost 18 months and you barely let them out to breathe.

Incredible read
As usual, Mrs. Jenkins never disappoints. As an avid reader and lover of the Blessings Novels, I was once taken back to a place that I have come to love through reading. If Henry Adams were to exist today, I would readily purchase a home there. I waited like so many others did to find out about our favorite heroine and Mrs. Jenkins did not disappoint. Bernadine and Mal are together again. I was concerned at the beginning of the book because I didn't know which way it was going to go, but boy was I in for a shock. Not to give anything away; if you haven't read this wonderful book, buy it and read it for yourselves, you will not be disappointed.

Somewhat Disappointed
It wad good to catch up on all the characters of Henry Adams but in my opinion too much time was spent on Riley and Cletus. And then to end the book with needing to evict him and the HOG. Geesh enough already with the hog. I missed the development of the relationship of Mal And Bernadette to getting them to the point of being engaged. I expected more of that to be developed more ESPECIALLY with the ending from the previous book and paying over $10 for an ebook with less than 300pages. I usually enjoy Bev Jenkins books and I honestly have purchased them all. This One however will have me reconsider the next purchase.

AWESOME-NESS
The book was amazing. It caught us up on characters and the awesome people who live in Henry Adams. This is a page turner and captures your heart and soul with a mixture of AA history included. Who knew. I can't wait for the next iteration. Please Ms. Jenkins allow O.G. and his WOMAN who turns the world to get married. Being in love and expressing one's love crosses all ages. It will do the heart good.

Love this series!
I re-read the whole series in anticipation for this book to make sure I remembered everything. To answer some of the discussion questions, I hope Ms. Jenkins continues this series because I want to see what happens to the characters in this episode. Also, I would like to see Eli come back so he and Crystal could explore something. I want to see the expansion of the town with Tina's B&B and the new restaurant. I hope Beverly has another book before the year is out. One book a year isn't enough!

Blessings Books Never Disappoint
This is book 10 in the series which are based on the fictional town of Henry Adams. In the first book readers are introduced to Bernadine Brown who purchased the small underdeveloped town from E-Bay. She pairs 5 foster children with parents. Each book showcases the development of the town and focuses on the characters. The characters focused on in this book are further developed and there are some surprises and lots of laughs. This is such a " feel good" book. I love the series and this book did not disapoint!

A Blessings Roller Coaster
There was one major issue left hanging at the end of the last Blessings book, Second Time Sweeter, and it was: Will Bernadine and Mal reunite? That issue is addressed, but it is interwoven in a book so filled with interesting plots that you feel like a kid on Christmas morning, excitedly opening one box after another! We find out some amazing new facts about Sheila Payne, Tina Craig, and Marie Jefferson. Shy new young resident Robyn comes out of her shell. Crystal Chambers Brown shows new maturity. Gemma Dahl gets a beau! Leo Brownreturns to once again try to con the farmers. All this and more is surrounded by a Henry Adams mayoral election that has more drama than ten soap operas! On the Corner of Hope and Main is another delightful read from the brilliant mind of Beverly Jenkins. You won't believe the ending, but you will see how the Bernadine and Mal issue is resolved! I highly recommend this book, especially now, when you need a delightful escape from the Corona virus quarantine!!
