Yukata (or light-weight kimono/robe)
Bought it for my husband after the hot spells we had in the San Francisco Bay Area towards the end of summer. His bulky, fuzzy robe made him look like he was in a sauna. He even said he wished he had one of those kimonos he was given to wear at a resort where we stayed in Japan where everyone wore a yukata (an under-kimono) everywhere -- out to dinner in the resort, to the baths, to play pachinko, to go site seeing, everywhere! It is comfortable and lightweight and it's up to you what (if anything) you wear underneath. I bought it for his birthday. He was glad to get an original and he's very happy with it.I also machine washed and dried it and it came out beautifully.

Perfect!
Feels a little large, which probably means it's the right size. I'm a big guy (6'2'' and 260 lbs) and many yukata just don't wrap around enough. This one wraps just like the picture. I call it somewhat large due to contrast effect. The fabric is excellent, and the belt is sown into one sleeve just like it's supposed to be. Looks sharp too. Those are fine stripes making up that color. Get a real obi if you want a more formal look. Finally found a vendor who sells Japanese wear for Americans.

Yakuta Kimono Fit So Gooood!
Measurements described for product are accurate. I'm a tall, large person especially for Japanese standards, but wanted to replace a years-old Kimono I've worn. Kimono Japan Men's Easy had a good assortment and as I said, the size I ordered was perfect for me. I took a month to receive it, but worth the wait now that I can wear it.

High quality soft and light 100% cotton fabric, traditional cut and style, a real Japanese kimono that one can wear in real life, not a kimono-like souvenir robe, generous fit, my husband loves it, very comfy, strongly recommend, would buy again, somewhat pricey but worth it

Great cotton, very roomy, great for travel.
This is a. Authentic Japanese yukata, meaning informal robe. I love their cotton!I am a 5’6” female who uses these as travel robes. They fit so easily into my suitcase. They lay flat and take up almost no room.This would easily fit a MUCH larger person, but I buy them this large for the length.Love the very cool Sumo wrestlers.It’s a great purchase.

Western Sizing
Seems fairly true to what we found in Japan but the sizing is more Western. Don’t order up expecting Japanese sizing. I am an L/XL and ordered XXL which was way too big, so now need to get it tailored to fit. Still, reminds us of time spent at the local ryokan. Quick delivery from Japan.

Exactly as advertised
I ordered six of these (all of which will get this same review); all are wonderful light yukatas as I expected. Big sleeves with the pockets, belts sewn inside one pocket as advertised. The materials are not all the same, and all feel fine. I'd recommend these to anyone without hesitation.
