There are a few RGB pocket lights at this price point, but this one is better in my opinion for a few reasons.1. It's round, so provides a nicer falloff and vignette, especially when used to light a background2. It's magnetic, so can be stuck to metallic objects3. It has a dome diffuser, rather than a flat diffuser, which is more useful in my opinion4. It can use accessories like barn doors, snoot, etc from the Godox AK-R1 kit5. It comes with a mini tripod6. It comes with a tilting mountApart from that, like all Godox products, it's very easy to use, and all the built in effects are quite useful. You can do a lot of fun stuff with these lights, especially if you have 2-3 of them.

I ordered 3 of these and I was sooo happy with them. Months after use of all 3 lights that I ordered. I had the same effect switch on each individual light have all broken off within weeks from each other.

I purchased this light in order to take a look at the quality and to see if I could use it as a portable continuous light system in my small mobile kit. I must say I am impressed with the quality of the light and the fact that it includes an AK-R11 Dome Diffuser which is a nice touch, however I did find the brightness to be a bit under powered. Nevertheless, this is still an impressive product. I own several sets of Godox/Flashpoint strobes, softboxes, as well as the V1Speedlight. This is another great product from Godox but might be just slightly under-powered for my use case, nonetheless, it is still appears to be a great product. I will put it through the paces to see how when it works and holds up and post an update if there are any issues. I look forward to testing it out further.

The compact design is perfect for on the go. The R1 came with an adapter so that you can fit it right into your hotshoe on the camera. It also came with plenty of Velcro pads so that you can stick it where you need it. 10/10 love it!!

I bought this planning just to use it with my phone, but with the lighting modifiers kit and a mini tripod, it gives me such effortless, portable control over lighting that I use it for 90% of the photos I take with my DSLR. I only wish it was a little bigger and that I had two more of them! I like continuous lighting, and I adore the versatility of this little light. The shape also makes for softer light fall-off. I don’t have any criticisms.

I’ve looked at several of led pocket lights I need something that is small and compact. So it will just add some color to the scene/set. The GoDox R1 is by far the mostversatile pocket light on the market. It’s heavy duty, durable, and can take a beating . You can feel and see the quality of this light in the weight, it has an magnetic back, the lcd screen is very clear, and the buttons are very sturdy. This light is so perfect that I want 2 more. PERGEAR did an amazing job packing and shipping it. I received the R1’s within a few days. PERGEAR sent a ton of extra accessories like a tripod, 3M Velcro, and a lens cloth any photographer or videographer would be ecstatic with a set of R1’s.
