KitchenAid KE030OHOBA Classic Spoon Spatula

Wow, I didn't expect this spoon to be so heavy duty! I guess I'm used to flimsy ones, and this is the complete opposite. The very tip of the spoon is a tiny bit flexible, but otherwise it's sturdy. It's also bigger than I thought it was going to be, and I'm not complaining. It's almost a foot long from end to end. I've already unpacked and washed it so I can use it next time I cook. It seems like it'll be super easy to clean after using as well. I wouldn't call it lightweight, but it's not really heavy either. I'm so happy to add this to the rest of my collection of kitchen tools that are all this aqua color.

I like having a spoonula on hand for a variety of things. The Kitchen Aid one is very nice, very sturdy and solid. The silicone is not whimpy like some are, it is heat resistant and dishwasher safe too. In fact it's a little on the stiff side, making it a good option to chop up ground beef, turkey or chicken. I personally wanted it for making eggs/omelets but it's a bit stiff even for that. It works and would still recommend it if you're a cook and need something like that. I like many of my tools and gadgets in my kitchen. I think this tool is a good bargain and I love the colors available for it too.

Could be a bit more concave but otherwise is a great purchase for pots and pans you don’t want to scratch up!

I bought a KitchenAid spoon-spatula over ten years ago, and it became my go-to kitchen utensil - the spatula blade was flexible enough to scrape out a variety of things, from mixing bowls to fry pans and sauce pots, yet stiff enough to mix and stir with. I decided to spoil myself with a replacement. After receipt of new spoon-spatula, I immediately recognized one benefit of the "latest and greatest" version - it's ONE piece, vs. my previous model that has a detachable head. The disadvantage of the detachable head is that regardless of how you clean it (dishwasher or hand wash), water invariably collects inside the head, creating a home for festering mold, thereby requiring you to disassemble it and allow it to air dry. No such nuisance with the new model!! Pic 1 shows old model on left and new/current on right; Pic 2 shows the residue (mold?) that can collect (grow?) in the head of the old model

This is currently my favorite spatula. I love that it doubles as a spoon! I use it for cooking, scraping, and serving. Perfect for dishes that need to be scooped but don't quite need a ladle. It comes out clean from the dishwasher but with a bit of white residue. I mostly hand wash it due to the residue and because I've had trouble with other utensils from this brand wearing out with constant washing in the dishwasher.

The heat resistance is very good I was surprised. The handles are pretty strong snd heat resistant but try to avoid soaking the handles in the sink. They will discolor but do dry out if you leave them out to dry. Thst is the wood. Colored faces match strength wise with Teflon type coating well.

These is a very sturdy spatula at a very reasonable price. KitchenAid makes quality items. I've been slowly replacing my kitchen utensils and have been purchasing all KitchenAid in black.

This spoonula (spoon/spatula) is THE BEST! It is just the right weight, size, and works so well in all my kitchen cooking/baking needs. This spoonula mixes well, scrapes the bowl clean, picks up all the bits in the skillet, and cleans up perfectly! Have had my kitchenAid spoonula for YEARS and decided I’d better get a couple more while I could.
