This VTX is great quality! The changing of Bands and VTX output power might be a little challenging (changing of channels is simple with short press of the button). You need to hold button longer than what the instruction state, just take notice of the blinking lights for band and power output, when they blink, then changes can be made. I thought at first the power output change was not available but I had to hold the button for about 8 seconds or so. And while holding the button to make changes, the heat sink is getting hot on you, so be very patient. I'm giving this product a full 5 star review because it worked EXCELLENT out in the field at 1WATT out put power. I tested and got a full 1000 feet range with a clear picture! If you do fly at 1 watt full power, be aware that it does eat up your battery if you are at full throttle all over the place. I don't recommend installing this VTX as part of your stack because that heat sink GETS HOT!!! I installed mine at the bottom part of my quad using soft stands so VTX won't hit the ground when landing. I'll be buying some more of these VTX brand for my next quads. I don't use smart audio, don't care for that option since Betaflight requires you to populate the channels manually for generic brands, plus I always fly alone so no need for me to be changing bands or channels.

Ordered a VTX from banggood (3 months ago, just arrived last week) and I was getting no range past 20 ft. Long story short, the VTX was bad. Ordered this on from amazon and got it the next day. Worked perfect, havent done a range test yet, but it made it past the 20 ft mark. The design keeps my stack from getting too hot, so an added bonus. Just note the size when getting it (sits in my stack a bit higher than I expected), I had to do some adjustments to get it to fit just right.

have not tried long range. In low power this gets warm real fast if drone is stationary/not flying. does not have pit mode from what i can determine. low power use has good range with long range antennae.The heat generated appears to be typical for it small size. The only out of ordinary characteristic of the design is mounting holes are to close to the heat sink and top cover making it difficult to use nylon hex nuts, not a big deal after a bit of modification. I would buy again. be sure vtx tables are correct to use smart audio settings!!!!!

This is a classic affordable vtx that i used for long range and drone chase. This long range vtx is like a pocket rocket that wont put a whole in the lining. This was a replacement for my rush tank and was so impressed by the quality and distance it covered with my hd3 fatsharks fpv goggles.

Puppy gets hot but the heatsink should save it so long as there is airflow. The antenna whip is a bit short but managed to use it.

Changing the vtx was a headache because as a beginner, i didnt know i had to change the vtx table and this amazon post didnt explain either. Its a rookie mistake but when i tried flying, the video range is in-fact a bit longer range than my 800mw BUT very grainy and would randomly turn static even when the drone is right in front of the goggles. The holes are at a weird dimension and the thing overheats like crazy. If you leave it at 1w for more than a minute its so hot i could probably cook steak on it

Is not the best VTX , but it works!, The signal is not near as powerfull as ispublished, so yes, is fake advertising!, but not bad, ... it should have mor information on how to set it up for smart audio and all that!Good to start and save a few bucks!
