Excellent challenge for 7 year old
I intended this as a present for a 12 year old but my 7 year old saw it. He kept commenting wistfully on it but knew it was for someone else. I finally let him have it but told him I wasn’t going to help him with it (based on other reviews it just sounded really aggravating and like sweat shop labor)! It actually worked out really well. It took him two days before the little pieces were ready and sanded down. This is good because it kept him occupied. I think he did loss a few pieces but oh well. He did get frustrated at times but didn’t give up. 5 stars because this toy was an excellent challenge for him.

Great summer project for the kids
This was one of the more intricate robots that we have put together, My daughter loves to tinker almost more than I do, so it's fun when we can work together on a project like this. Thank goodness she has small fingers to get into the tight places of the motor and she really enjoyed the challenge. She selected the Walked Bot to build first. She learned about gears and solar power. The kit was well marked and laid out. The parts were sturdy and easy to connect. It is very important to push children to expand their abilities over the summer break, and this was my daughters most enjoyable and challenging project of the summer.

Solar-powered mini marvel
This is a great project for my son, who has been staying home more this summer. I really like how he can turn this robot into so many different variations. I helped him cut the parts out with wire cutters, arrange them, and then let him loose. This is a great step up from simple building blocks because the robot actually works with the sun's power. He can make a robot that walks, floats, or roll. Very cool. I like that he has to read the directions and follow them very carefully for the robot to work. I recommend this! Great summer project.

Great father son project
We purchased this for our son as a Christmas gift. Your child will require parental assistance. The wire cutters that come with the project are very sharp. The instructions are complex. My husband and son put together one of the models during holidays. They had fun using tools. Great STEM activity. Builds problem solving and troubleshooting skills. We would definitely purchase this again. We especially love that it has a battery compartment.

STEM building
I was looking for something that could provide creativity for my teen as we are all home bound. Definitely not for young young kids as you may find yourself sitting by them the whole time...that is if you have s genius on your hands. My son love to create and this is a great item to help build foundations of building. Perfect for a teen kid who loves to build.

Great learning tool for kids.
My kids are essentially 10, or they we’ll be very soon.We built this and they had a blast. We wound up building the surfbot. They watch and help me build things all the time, so it was a lot of fun to get them something to build.Really good learning lesson on how solar power works.

Fun robot challange
This robot toy is exactly what my 12 year old was looking for! He loves building thingd and has taken a recent interest in robots so this was the perfect combo. It wasnt too easy nor too difficult for him to put together and the fact that there are different ways to build it makes me believe it will keep hisninterest peeked for a while.

Gifted to my little one and appreciated.
Gifted to my little boy for his birthday who loved and still loves not now especially when we play together as it still too young to build up on his own. We also had the cousins (over 10 YO) coming over and spend some time playing and creating. The only advise is to be careful to don't loose the pieces as some are really small, but other than that is a really good game on a good value.

A brilliant gift to entertaining 11 years old half term
I bought the toy as a half-term gift for my 11 years old boy. I was amazed by the quality of the pieces at such good price. My son is not an instruction reader. He likes to follow his own mind. So there are a lot of assembly and disassembly. It took him 6 hours to build the first one but nothing is broken so far! Clearly it can fully occupy him for the whole two weeks of the half term. Brilliant!

Excellent present for kids
Bought it like a present. My son only 6y.o. but he was really excited. Built it with his faster. I think for 6 y.o. a bit early, but with help it was well spent evening. My son clearly could not have done it on his own. The details are too small for a child. I think the correct age is indicated on the box, but before only with the help. Anyway husband said he had a lot of fun constructing it. He had a similar one in his childhood. Now the son is playing with a robot on space expeditions and asks to buy other similar constructors.
