Marilyn Monroe Collection (The Seven Year Itch / Niagara / There's No Business Like Show Business / River of No Return / Gentlemen Prefer Blondes / How To Marry A Millionaire)

I bought this set to replace How to Marry a Millionaire as the video I'd recorded from TV years ago wore out. I watched the other movies in the set and enjoyed 3 of them. I was surprised that the captioning on How to Marry a Millionaire was in Korean (I think - I'm not really conversant with Asian languages), although the other movie captioning was in both Korean and English. Some of the words on the introduction to the movie were in that same language.

I love the old movies, try to get some when they come out.

I purchased his collection for the purpose of seeing the movie Niagara, and boy was it good. It was suspense and drama. Marilyn Monroe and Joseph Cotton should have gotten an Oscar. How to Marry a Millionaire was also very good.

THE MAIN MOVIE INCLUDED WITH THE SET WON'T PLAY MORE THAN THE FIRST FOURTH OR THIRD AND THEN DIVERTS BACK TO THE START. HOW TO MARRY A MILLIONAIRE IS THE MOVIE ABOUT WHICH I AM WRITING. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED.ADDENDA: TO HERE THIS REVIEW HAS BEEN ABOUT THE FIRST SET I PURCHASED FOR $12(+) FROM AMAZON IN MAY THIS YEAR.ABOUT THE 2ND $24(+) SET VERY RECENTLY PURCHASED. THE LABELS ON ALL 6 DISKS WERE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. ALL 6 MOVIES PLAYED FLAWLESSLY. CONCERN THE CONTENT, MARILYN MONROE WAS INDEED A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN. WHAT SURPRISED ME WAS HOW TRULY TALENTED SHE WAS. IN MY OPINION I'M BETTING SHE WAS ACTUALLY VERY INTELLIGENT. I WOULD BUY AGAIN FROM THE SELLER OF THE 2ND SET. A MESSAGE FOR THOSE HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE KOREAN SUBTITLING (THERE BY DEFAULT)...TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT YOUR REMOTE. PUSH THE "SUBTITLE" BUTTON TWICE. IT WILL SHUT THEM OFF...GUARANTEED.

Great selection of movies that are clear and crisp. The DVD's have the option of captions which are easily toggled off & on.

Subtitles are in Korean, the speech is English.“Niagara” has been colorized, I remember the movie in black and white.

All of the movies are excellent.

I enjoy watching these older movies. They were very wholesome and entertaining. Photography and Color by Technicolor and CinemaScope are wonderful.
