Pros: Applied very easily. It says to apply liberally, however, those boards ended up taking forever to dry and also look crystally, gummy (see up close photo). After the first few boards we applied it sparingly and those boards dried quickly and look fantastic (see photo) and are completely waterproof, it beads up and rolls off.CONS: We wanted a waterproofer that is environmentally friendly and doesnt cause issues with my chemical sensitivities... we wore gloves when applying but ended up getting it on our skin, which proceeded to break out in little white bumps (both of us). We scrubbed and scrubbed with soap and water (as stated) and finally felt like we got the product off our skin. The bumps finally disappeared the next day. Also, I’m not sure about the “plant based, non toxic, low VOCs” ingredients as it has a strong varnish like odor that we can smell clear across the yard. Its been a week and still smells the same. Not happy about that at all or about the crystallization on the first few boards. (Luckily we did the bottom only and can flip the boards over and apply a different product on the top).

I have extreme sensitivities to oil-based stains so I chose this product. It went on beautifully and the cedar color is lovely. I gave it only 4 stars, however, because of the high price and because after one week there remain some 'tacky' spots (but that is probably because of previous stains used and not the fault of this product). Though with the color addition (vs. the clear) there are some chemicals that mildly affected me, it is in no way the effect of store bought oil-base stain. I still wore a mask when applying.

I liked that this was safe for garden bed use but not sure if we applied this correctly because it’s very sticky. Everything sticks to the garden boxes. Not sure if my father in law applied too thick of a layer or not. Also liked that it had UV protection but not sure if it is actually effective since it’s only been two months since we applied it.

We bought this to seal a cedar wood outside play set. We live in a humid climate and this will hopefully help prevent the wood from decaying. This is a great non-toxic option, since our kids will be playing on this swing set.

As advertised. I used it on a fishing dock on a salt water marsh. Customer service was great and very attentive to all my questions. I am very happy with the product and the results. Worth the price.

This product looks amazing and lives up to it's claims! I had concerns after my first application on a few boards. I called and talked with customer service. I was ultimately connected with the creator of the product. We were able to dial in my process and where I had made a couple of potential mis-steps. I could not be more happy with the outcome and how it makes the colors of cedar wood pop. I am a novice at sealing/staining, but the company was more than understanding and willing to work with me and I am so happy with the results. Water beads up on the boards after rain or a heavy dew in the morning. I truly could not be happier with the result.
