Kershaw 1090 Northside Hunter Folding Knife w/Black Handle

This is a decent knife for the money. I keep it by my bed. Comes quite sharp. Opens with a bit of practice with a firm flick of your wrist. Decent belt holster for it. Blade lock feels solid.The handle has a non-slip grip, but feels a little flimsy, especially if you squeeze the slot the blade comes out of with the blade locked... you can squish it closed with your fingers.For the price though it's hard to beat, and if you lose it you won't cry too hard about it.

I actually purchased two of these since I like the blade design and the fact that it's a folding knife. Very comfortable in your hand. It will be used to field dress deer.

Excellent knife, but, the specifications on the blade length are wrong. I have one of these and I measured it with a standard tape measure: The blade length is 3.8 inches long. It is not 4 and a half inches long. Various websites wrongly give the blade length measurement at over 4 inches. It is under four inches long for the blade. Measure it yourself. The knife is great. The stainless steel may not be a "super steel" but it is servicable, corrosion-resistant, and sharp. The blade is strong and the back-lock is a good one. There is slight blade wiggle in mine but nothing dangerous as far as I can see and feel, and, it does not prevent it from being used as an everyday carry knife and an outdoor cutting tool. The handle is Santoprene rubber and is durable and comfortable. The curve of the blade and handle is perfect, not too pronounced but just right. It is like holding a folding, pocket scimitar or saber. The knife can be used with or without a sheath/belt pouch. I love this knife.
