Nice product does what it shood what I've come to expect form years of net gear use

Filled the void in my WiFi coverage. Easy to pair, up and running in just a few minutes. Improved WiFi signal immediately.

Knowing that my router doesn't have WPS, I installed the Netgear Nighthawk app on my iPhone as per the instructions. The app allowed me to find the device with my phone but wouldn't connect and then produced a message that the Nighthawk app is not compatible with my device. Therefore, I connected my Mac to the adapter and launched the page that is provided in the instructions, but the page would not load. I had to go to my wifi settings, manually find the IP address of the adapter, then go to this manually. I was then able to create an account and connect the device to my router and connect to the internet. I then moved the device to the ideal place in my apartment for best distribution of signal and tried to connect another device. I connected, but couldn't get internet access. After ten minutes or so, it connected. Now that it is setup and in place the connectivity is strong, solid, and fast.

Useless. Caused more problems than it was worth. I had it working which is an act of congress. I had so many interruptions in WiFi and connectivity issues throughout the house for two weeks, I unplugged it. I had more connection without it.

Plug in, wait for green light, push WPS on side, then push WPS on modem and if you have 5ghz band as well as 2.4 then once the first wps connects do it again...push button on side, them push WPS on modem.....done....works perfect. 2 extended wifi choices....mine worked exactly as it should.

I purchased this NETGEAR EX5000 to eliminate a weak WiFi area near my outdoor cameras. There seem to be two setup methods. One uses the app or browser setup pages(marked in Yellow color with numbers 1, 2 and 3), while the other uses the WPS buttons. After reading several reviews mentioning setup headaches, I skipped the web route entirely and used WPS instead(images marked in Blue color from 1 to 4). For me, setup was surprisingly straightforward. I placed the extender in the same room as my router, waited for the status light to turn green, pressed the WPS button on the extender, then pressed the WPS button on my router(TP-Link) a few seconds later. After a short wait, the extender created the extended network automatically(existing network will be extended to your_existing_network_name_2/5GEXT). I connected using the same WiFi password as my router and later logged into the local webpage to rename the network. Compared to some other networking devices I have dealt with in the past this felt fairly painless. The compact size is another thing I liked. It does not block the second outlet making a placement easier in a crowded wall socket area. However, I was disappointed in performance. I tested this extender and compared against my wired access point(I know not a fair comparison) using a local speed test server. My WiFi 6 access point was able to deliver around 1.8 Gbps in the same location but this extender averaged around 42 Mbps. I understand this is a WiFi 5 extender and not intended for multi gig networking, but I was anticipating 200-400Mbps.

I am very glad I purchased this product. This has worked well for me and is so far, the best one I’ve had. Easy to set up also.

I had to sit right next to my Starlink router to connect and as soon as I figured that out, it was easy peasy.

Funciona muy bien. Batallé para configurar un poco al inicio pero creo que fue mi error.

Funciona excelente, buen alcance en señal.

Ya es necesario sustituir el anterior, después de casi seis años de servicio.

Es fácil de conectar y la coneccion es rápida pero el alcanze es muy poco.
