So far, so good!
I advise that anyone considering "bombing" the inside of their home with an insecticide/chemical to do their own due diligence, especially with kids/pets involved. More than just checking a products reviews. That being said, the Precor Flea & Tick Fogger was easy to use. Yes, you need to prep the area/home to use this product safely - instructions are clear and simple. It doesn't take much to do, so I don't understand some of the reviews grumbling about having to do that..it's a toxic chemical being vaporized in your home to kill fleas & ticks, so you should expect some cautionary prep work. I didn't have any issues with setting the canisters off - easy enough, just point away and gently press down on tab until it clicks into full open. Left my home with my 2 dogs for the minimum of 2 hours (we had a good time at the park), came back, put on some gloves & face mask, opened all the windows and doors, turned on all ceiling fans, wiped up the oily residue on the tables where the canisters were placed and sputtered out (the directions said to lay newspaper or something around them, but I ignored that..luckily no damage to wood or metal surfaces occurred). Dogs were outside the entire time. As expected while doing all this, my skin began to feel a little prickly (again, it's a vaporized poison). Before letting my dogs enter, and after the instructed 2 hour ventilation time, I went back in to assess if everything was dry and safe. It was, in my estimation, but it was also a day with 87% humidity, so I gave it another hour. By the end, there's a slight chemical smell. Not entirely offensive but noticeable. Again to be expected. It seems to have knocked down the fleas to a great extent. But no flea treatment is an instant fix - there's the lingering cocoons that'll hatch in a few days. Which this product takes care of to eventually break the cycle. So to the reviews that complain it doesn't work because they saw fleas in the following days - 1. You have to give it time to kill the unhatched fleas, and fleas that weren't directly exposed to the intial fog to stop the cycle. 2. You also need to treat the outside source of fleas, if possible. 3. And also treat the pet(s) that carry the fleas into the home. I hate chemicals and subjecting my pets and myself to them. But when all the other remedies fail - it's time to go to war! And in war, you're either all in or you'll lose against an adversary like fleas!

Precor Plus Fogger
Summer 2012 was a terrible time for the Northeast US in terms of fleas. We have a 2 year old cat that was treated a year earlier for fleas (Advantage). Yet we still got a massive flea infestation starting around late June early July. The infestation was very severe; bad enough that one of my rats also became infested and passed away because of the buggers. For whatever reason the fleas flocked to my room and devoured me. I still have some bites that are just starting to go away (probably do to my being on a blood thinner). Anyway, I vacated my room and purchased this after reading the reviews on Amazon. It took a few months for my family to get on board with me bombing my room since everyone needed to leave the house. I finally got them to pick a day and, while it wasn't a popular decision with the cat, we got everyone together and left. We followed the directions on the can - placed the fogger in the middle most part of my room (12' x 9' x 7'), got it going, and left for two and a half hours. We came back, opened my window, and left for another hour. Once the process was completed, I reentered my room, and to my surprise, there was absolutely no foul smell at all. I moved back into my room that night, and placed a glue and light flea trap to pick up any stragglers. The next morning I checked the trap, and not one flea was caught. I have not seen any fleas since, nor do I have any new bites, and as I said before, my old ones are finally fading. Given what two other reviewers said about this product - the smell, and having stragglers, I expected the product to take a few days to get rid of the fleas completely and to have the smell dissipate. I was honestly very surprised with the results and very impressed since, as I said, I experienced neither of these problems and have now been back in my room for over a month. We are continuing to use Advantage on the cat so hopefully we will not see another infestation this bad but just in case we do I have a second fogger to use, or give to my boyfriend who also experiences frequent less severe infestations. I highly recommend this product for anyone who is experiencing any sort of flea infestation. My infestation was quite bad, and this product took care of it immediately, effectively (no stragglers), and with no foul smell remaining in my room. Excellent product!

It works, but not much better than the ones you buy in the grocery store.
For twice the price of other foggers I have used, this one didn't really work better. It worked well enough, but I won't spend that much money on it any more. I did still notice an occasional flea after fogging and 2 weeks of vacuuming every other day.

Killed a ton of flies and 1 coachroach
We are fighting a major flea infestation so I purchased these hoping it would stop the fleas in their tracks. I used this according to the directions on the box and we left our home for 8 hours (not the 2 hours that were recommended). When I came outside after opening the windows to air out the house there were 3 large fleas on my legs. This morning (the very next day) when I walked through the living room, where the major problem is, both my legs had 4 to 5 very small fleas on them. So, this product was good in that it killed all the flies and 1 cockroach (which I didn't even know we had) but left the adult fleas alive. The very next morning flea eggs had hatched and our living room had a lot of very small fleas still! On to the next product...

Didn't Kill the Fleas
I chose this product because in researching the best flea killer this one came up on Bob Villa's This Old House. I purchased 3 packs of three, so 9 cans for about a 400 square foot room. This is a tack room, so I didn't need to air it out for any reason, so I left it closed up for 24 hours. It didn't kill all of the fleas. So I purchased 3 more pack of three, so 9 more cans. I set them off (one of them wouldn't go off) and again left the room closed for 24 hours. 18 cans later and I still have fleas. Sadly these are no better than what you can buy at Walmart.

WELL WORTH THE PRICE. WORK 1ST TIME
This product is a miracle! It is well worth the price we paid. I did a lot of research on flea life cycle and what chemicals would kill them in all of their stages of life. My daughter was being eaten alive during the night in her own bedroom while the rest of us would have occasional bites on our ankles she has them all over her body from her feet to her face! She was 3 years old and being eaten alive! I knew we had to knock those suckers out! I kept treating the 2 dogs and 1 cat to get rid of those fleas but needed treatment for the rugs, base boards, hard floors, cupboards, etc. After researching everything I came across this product and purchased 2 cans of spray and 3 foggers (depends on the sq ft of your home). Turned off all of the pilot lights and unplugged the refrigerator! Put all the food away and appliances I didn't want covered in chemicals into trash bags sealed up. Took her room apart, sprayed under her dresser, in her closet, under her bed (took mattress & box spring off first) moved the frame so that the larva couldn't hide under the feet of the posts, sprayed each of our bedrooms this way. Opened the foggers and left the house for a few hours. Came home and opened the windows for another hour or 2, went out again. Your house will smell like an oil refinery for a few days but don't shampoo the carpets for a while to make it through a couple if flea life cycles. It causes the adults to die, causes the larva to become infertile as adults and it does nothing to those already in their cocoons, that's why you have to wait for them to go through another life cycle to kill those ones cuz they can lay more eggs. All we did was wipe down all the hard surfaces, like counters, cabinets, dressers, etc. so that we weren't in contact with our hands of the chemicals. I bought enough to treat 2 times but we only had to treat once, in July at the peak of the infestation for our area, and couldn't believe that we only had to do it once! I suggest that you begin treating you animals first because they are the start of it all. Wait a week and start you assault on the house! Keep up with the animals and don't forget places like the cupboards and baseboards especially if you have carpet. We're lucky 90% of our house is hardwood and just the upstairs is carpeted.

THE BEST FOGGER
HIGHKY RECOMMEND. Our cat is indoor and outdoor. Recently, I noticed he looked to suddenly be infested with fleas after having been out repeatedly over a few days. We use a flea product on him but apparently it did not work. To the rescue was Precor Flea Fogger which Did Not seems to leave Any Odor. I over bought because I wanted to be absolutely positive there were no remaining fleas because they Love Me more than the cat it seems. Our house isn't big, but I bought enough to have a single fogger for each bedroom, and used 3 throughout the common areas. The activatiom of the fogger was straight forward and I would recommend putting large towels under the cans due to the spray residue that falls directly onto the surface below the fogger (for easier clean up). Our 1600 sq ft home improved immediately and within less than 3 days and over the past 6 months we have been completely FLEA FREE!
