Moultrie ATV Spreader – Manual Feed Gate, Black, 20.4 x 31.4 x 20.4 inches

I mounted this to my Kubota 1750 3 point and it works great.

This was a gift for a friend. The assembly instructions left somewhat to be desired if one is not mechanically inclined. Fortunately I have a wide variety of the required tools and feel I have good mechanical abilities. The report back from my friend is that the system works great and they like the quietness of its operation. Also the lever that activates the drop gate is a great improvement over a previous units design.

Box was in perfect shape. This spreader is absolute bottom quality. I had a Moultrie spreader in the past but it was a lot better design and quality of product. Nothing lines up right.... broke 2 bolts off barely tightening them....hardware missing.....top barely fits because the top is warped, gate doesn't fully close because bottom is cupped so there will always be seed coming out regardless of whether gate is closed or not. Save your money and buy a better product. Moultrie quality has gone big time downhill.

The spreader is a great spreader with 100lbs capacity. If fits the rack on my honda very well. HOWEVER, the hardware they send lacking. It's very soft metal. I had two fasteners to break. Further, the hardware for the ATV mounting bracket runs out of threads before it metal meets. I triple checked, and i used all of the hardware in the proper places. The metal tubing for the mounting bracket does not have plastic plugs to fill the tube to keep dirt out and the edges will cut your skin as well. There are bolt holes for fastening the spreader to the mounting bracket on the ATV, but no fasteners are provided. The band that is designed for the girth of the spreader has a spacer that fastens between where the two halves of the band meet, but it is far to thin to fill the gap. I'm really surprised that moutltrie did not provide a higher quality product.

I mounted mine on the front of my 4 wheeler ATV. Much easier to activate the manual handle that way. Works just as it’s supposed to.

Works as advertised. This is my second Moultrie atv spreader. Did not maintain the frist one very well. Had it for about 10 years and used it a lot. Needs to be cleaned and washed out good after spreadung lime and fertilizer. Like some of the new features especially the handle for opening and closing the hopper. Very easy to open and shut. Throws pelletized lime and fertilizer approxomately 12-13 feet each side of spreader mounted on my atv.Only negative is if the lime or fertilizer has gotten damp it clumps up and plugs the openings in the bottom of the hopper. I use a piece of 1/2" wire mesh to pour thru and it works great for removing the clumps.

Sooo many missing pieces! ...screws that didn't fit, washers and bolts missing.Had to puncture a hole in the metal lever arm because the hole was not completely cut, and had to ream out the predrilled hole on the bottom of the hopper because it didn't align with the hole in the stiffner.We've just finished putting it together, and YES it runs! :) We'll see tomorrow, how well it works... but so far we are very very disappointed in all the extra work that had to go into this assembly.MOULTRIE... Our comment is VERY similar to previous comments, which tells to me that your company is not being very responsive to quality issues. Please address these issues, so that we can trust purchasing from your company again. Thanks

Great little spreader, time will tell though.

I keep unit inside when not used and ALL bolts are very rusted and paint peeling off of metal ! Very poor quality motor

use to spread abrasives on driveway. worked perfectly

I do like the strength of it, but try to seed a mixture of grass seed with it for my pasture and it just did not go tru the spreader at all even when I opened it all the way And that was the main reason I bought it!
