Important Change i Recent Orders: Amazon Not Shipping Correct Item
Note that Amazon is not shipping Sterilite 1755 any more, or so it seems. Instead, for my last two orders of Sterilite 1755, which has a purple handle called Sweet Plum [and measures 23-5/8x16-3/8x6-½], I have been receiving Sterilite 2026. Both are spec'd as 32Q, but their dimensions are slightly different, and the handle on 2026 is more blueberry colored and is labeled Stadium Blue [and measures 24x16x7"]. These are two different items, and the 2026 model does not latch anywhere near as smoothly. I would give this 3 stars as adequate for its purpose, but deduct a star for not shipping the right item. If this is your first batch, you will be fine, but if you were counting on more stackable items that performed as well as a prior order, you will be disappointed. BTW, I love these things; we have dozens, but I am unhappy about Amazon's failure to deliver.

These bins used to be fantastic, now they are a waste of money
Update 1/29/2019-I am leaving my original review in tact so you can follow the full story of what happened. I did finally file a Better Business Bureau report against Sterilite and received a refund for the batch of bins that had the residue. Unfortunately all of the bins at the store have the same residue, so this is definitely a company wide change.Update 12/28/2018-We wrote to Sterilite about the film inside of their bins causing an allergic reaction and leaving the bins permanently foggy. After waiting more than a month for a response with excuse after excuse, they stated that they are not set up to provide refunds or replacements. They gave a description of the film inside of their bins and declared it "not harmful". Not harmful to the average person, extremely harmful to someone with allergies. And by the way, they don't declare this "film" anywhere on their packages and we only found out about it because we complained, and we still do not know what the ingredients are in the film.Exact quote from the e-mail from Sterilite: "The "greasy-like film” on the storage item is a vegetable based agent used in our process to assist in keeping the containers from sticking to one another making it difficult to separate them when they are nested. This is not a harmful ingredient."So not only is the film here to stay and means we can no longer purchase their products, but it also means that Sterilite does not stand by or care about their product experience or their customers. I will never purchase Sterilite products again and our household has hundreds of dollars worth of their products now.I've purchased Sterilite bins for years. Our closet is filled with them, and every room in our house has a few of these plastic bins. I have purchased this set of plum latch boxes 6 times on Amazon since May 2016, plus others in big box stores. The quality has diminished and I no longer recommend these bins.My closet is evidence of the diminishing quality of Sterilite bins. There are 63 bins in my walk in closet holding everything including paper files, scrapbooks, clothing, and books. They stack extremely well and hold a lot of weight, the lightest weighing 3 pounds and the heaviest weighing 41 pounds. When we moved, we just loaded the bins straight into the U-Haul, we didn't box anything up. As long as we put the heavy bins on the bottom, they survived the bumpy ride just fine. We loaded them into the new closet and the bins, their lids, and their handles were all in tact. The high quality bins that represent the old Sterilite bins were purchased between May 2006-February 2018. The bins ordered after February 2018 started to have problems. The first bad batch of bins, purchased in March 2018 had handles that would break constantly. The handles wouldn't just click out of place like on the old bins, but instead the little tab would break off completely, rendering the handle useless. This happened with bins that were lightweight holding baseball caps and heavy bins holding files.Once the handles popped off, it wasn't a huge deal. While the bins don't stay securely closed without their latching handles, they are mostly stacked in stacks in various rooms, so it wasn't a huge deal, we wouldn't put the bins with broken handles on the top of the stack. The second bad batch of bins arrived in May 2018, and this batch started having broken bins inside of the shipping box. Three were cracked in one batch and two in a second batch. The bins no longer were packed with the lids on top of the stack, and the lids often arrived cracked and damaged.I stopped ordering the bins online after they arrived damaged, and started buying them at big box stores. The broken handles continued, so it was a Sterilite issue and not an Amazon issue. Some of the lids in the big box stores were also cracked, again a Sterilite issue and not an Amazon issue. In October 2018 I needed 6 bins for a project so I took the chance ordering them on Amazon again. To my amazement they all arrived in tact. They had a cloudy, foggy looking residue on the inside and outside of the bins and the bins did not look clear but instead looked foggy.I had seen this same residue in the past and usually washing the bins with mild soap and water gets rid of the residue. After washing the bins and their lids, the residue remained so the bins looked foggy instead of clear. I then tried to wipe the residue out by hand and it didn't wipe out.I thought that this could be a change to the manufacturing process, after checking bins at a local big box store and they had the same residue. I didn't think it was any big deal since I washed the bins. I thought that it certainly couldn't be anything harmful and had to be a factory residue of some sort.We often store clean laundry in these bins, so my significant other took an article of clothing out of one of the bins and put it on, she immediately broke out in hives. We have no idea what the residue is inside of these bins. Unfortunately trips to two different big box stores made us realize all the bins now have this residue.I have contacted Sterilite since I feel like this is a manufacturing problem, and I am still awaiting their response. I don't think Amazon should have to foot the bill of the return since the bins sold in stores have the exact same residue. This is clearly Sterilite's issue not Amazon's issue. When I hear from Sterilite, I will update this review.I can no longer recommend these bins. The quality is not what it used to be, the handles break to easily, and now the mystery residue makes the bins look cloudy or foggy instead of clear. Whatever changes Sterilite has made to their manufacturing process were not for the improvement of the product. They are now unusable.

Check your package!
I made the mistake of putting these aside for a later date without opening and inspecting them. I opened this evening and discovered every single bin was broken. I missed the window to return and after spending $60+ on useless bins, I certainly won’t be buying again.

Great boxes- but not for freezing temps. Too brittle in the cold. May arrive broken.
The Sterilite clear boxes are great for storing items and seeing what is in the. Box. The only drawback is that this particular brand of storage boxes - “Sterilite” - is very (emphasize VERY) brittle in sub freezing temperatures. Best advice is to order these boxes in warm months or, if you live in a warm climate year round, no problem. My problem is that I live in Alaska where the temperatures, right now are too cold for the Sterilite containers to be shipped without any breakage. My package arrived with one container broken as I do live in Alaska so I have written to the seller to settle this problem. I feel certain that we will have an amenable solution as soon as I hear back from them regarding the one broken box. Otherwise, these boxes are great for storage in a warm room/basement, etc.

Good but different product than pictured
These are good but they're not what's pictured in the ad. I have a bunch of the ones pictured (purple handle, different dimensions) so I was able to compare. These (blue handle) are a little narrower and slightly taller. They seem a little sturdier and the lids are more reinforced. The purple handle one have flat handles flush with the top, but the blue handle ones that I received have arched handles that are ~3\8" higher than the lid. I feel like I paid a premium but it was just about worth delivery to my door. They fit a 6gl milk crate very well though, while the ones pictured leave some room for it to slide around. They're good but be aware if you're trying to match existing ones or fit them into a very specific sized space or shelf height. I did not compare each exact volume.

Different product
Bins were not the dimensions and color advertised. I could’ve gone to Walmart for the same 6 bins but paid half the price but nooo I wanted purple handles. The bins still work and are in good condition however the product is not being accurately described and that’s not fair

Delivered in Pieces
These boxes are very brittle and couldn't withstand the UPS delivery EVEN though the box said FRAGILI ordered two cases of 4 and only 3 single crates survived.i want them replaced but I don't want to have to send them back again!

Their old products were very sturdy & durable
I've used Sterilite products for years and something has changed in their new products. The handles fall off randomly and the plastic/vinyl cracks with the slightest bump. Their old products were very sturdy & durable. These are not.

Super Utiles para apilar, BY MLG CAPT SHADOW
¡Super geniales!

Good but shipping boxes need to be PADDED
These are perfect for my intended purpose. I've order these twice, but in the second, one of the bins had a shattered corner (basically identical to photos others have posted). There is NO padding or buffering in either the manufacturer's box, nor the larger Amazon box. It's MUCH to huge to bother dragging to the post office and would probably cost alot to return. If you can, go to CT to purchase just $aying. However, they are dandy bins! I'm using them to re-box several generations of loose family photos. I've added a silica pack to each box. Prior they were in cardboard and in danger of eventually deteriorating. Really good size!

Big Storage Bins. Arrived Intact All 6
Got these for an unbelievable deal and beyond happy with this purchase. All 6 bins we're included and arrived unbroken and in mint condition.Shipped and sold from Amazon so knew the quality would be good. I liked how I had the option to have them boxed shipped in a cardboard box. The lids lock on tight great for organizing and keeping things in the garage, clean and tidy. Should have gotten more when I had the chance!!

Me da coraje...
Seguro vuelvo a comprar otro six.

Damaged upon arrival
These containers were delivered late, although this may have been a result of the timing being closer to Christmas. However, the did arrive damaged. At least one container was damaged in the bottom corner (not just cracked but an actual hole). This is not usable for me because I plan on using these to store dry goods to keep away from mice, pests, etc. The rest were fine. I probably will not return these as it is pointless to me to return them all now before/during the holiday season.
