and comfortably gain and lose 10 or more pounds without changing ...
Regarding these not being true to size (see critical review): This has not been my experience at all. I'm not going to go on and on about my other pants. I trust that you will believe that I have been successful in buying myself other types of pants that have fit. These Tru Specs posed no unusual challenges for me. I run 32x32 in looser fitting, relaxed jeans, and its the same deal with these. I almost think MP06011999 who says they "run really small" must have gotten a mislabeled pair. I know it seems unlikely, but I have 7 pairs of these, and they all fit the same as my jeans. Additionally these pants have an elastic band in the waist, allowing for one to CCW a full sized, IWB, and comfortably gain and lose 10 or more pounds without changing sizes. I know because I CCW full sized, and have been injured twice in the past two years, which prevented me from lifting weights and caused my body weight fluctuations. Wore the Tru Specs throughout the weight changes regardless of whether I carried IWB, or OWB (winter months, camping, hiking, etc.) The reason I have so many pairs is simply because I think they're outstanding in every way. They are very durable, they don't look "tactical," (more like standard cargo pants, especially in khaki or coyote coloring) they have tons of pockets, they look good, and they dry reasonably quickly, being 65% ply 35% cotton. That's important if your outdoorsy. The cotton ensures they are still very comfortable. The Teflon coating will make rain bead off, and keep them from staining for quite awhile, but honestly I've never cared either way for that feature, and after enough wash/dry cycles that aspect will fade. Another reason I have so many pairs because I like the idea of having everything I carry in the same pockets every single day, especially when I had backup mags in pockets. I have a place for everything from my knife to E-Cigararette, and they're always right where I expect them to be, regardless of what (color) pants I am wearing. They're reasonably priced enough to give a pair a shot, I think you'll be glad you did.

True Spec 24/7 tactical. My favorite pants by far
The poly/cotton blend fabric is just right. Light weight and comfortable, but still very durable. Not as hot as jeans. Some will think they are a tad stiff at first, but they break in perfectly after one wash. And still retain their creases over time to look sharp. Ive owned my first pair for five years and have them on right now LOL. Much more comfortable than jeans in my opinion, and they look and wear better than jeans. Hold creases well over time. Now that I’ve retired, I bought more and wear these daily no matter what I’m doing. Comfortable enough to lay around the house in, and durable enough to do just about any outside work or activity you want. I wear them hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, yard work, chopping wood, pulling weeds, etc. They don’t snag on things like jeans will. They also look nice enough to wear as casual wear, like going out to dinner, if you don’t mind the cargo pockets. The pockets are big, but lay flat when empty. I wear them everywhere. Plenty of pockets that are well designed. Front pockets are deep and usable. Back pockets are also deep with a Velcro closure. Side cargo pockets are large enough for small handgun or extra mags, but lay flat when empty. Slim pockets designed for folding pocketknives on each side that I use daily. I’ve never had a knife fall out when using the knife clip. Perfectly holds a folding knife with 3.5” folding blade. There are two very small pockets with Velcro closures outside the larger cargo pockets. But they only hold small items like credit cards or drivers license or keys. I own five pair of these pants. One of the pair I just bought came with slip-in cell phone pockets, but the other four pair did not. I wish they all had those pockets. Perfect size for iPhone 12 with otter box case. Sizing: I’m 5’9”. 185lbs. My extra weight above the waist. I wear 36/30 dress slacks, but I like them a little loose, not binding. True spec runs a tad large. My true specs are 34/30. Waist and hips and crotch area are perfect fit. The extra 2” hidden elastic extender inside the waistband is perfect to give a little when needed. And very very comfortable. Never binding. Just right. The 30” inseam is about an inch longer than my dress slacks, but I like that for boots and for outdoor activities so debris won’t get in my shoes. Bottom line I highly recommend these pants. Very versatile, durable, and comfortable. If you’re patient you can find them for under $40 on Amazon. I’m cheap, and won’t pay over that. Hope this helps.

Great tactical pants
This is a great pair of pants. The construction and material is top notch, I've only had them a little while but have already been tough of them and they still look like new. I'm thinking these are going to hold up very well based on early use. Comfort is excellent. These are not too heavy, they feel like a typical set of cargos. Ok, so they're great as pants, now how about tactical features? Let's start at the top and work our way down. Belt loops are nice and wide, this will support a loaded tactical belt very nicely. Also, the waist band expands. Now, this is convenient after a belly buster sized meal, but from a tactical standpoint, it also makes these very comfortable with an inside the waist band holster. An added bonus here is if you enter a building where you have to disarm, it's easy to get a nice IWB holster back into your pants and in position without having to drop 'em to your knees. Upper pockets are nice and deep on all four forners. The back pockets are horizontal opened with good velcro closure instead of slanted like the competing 511's. This is the primary reason I prefer these over 511's, which are also otherwise excellent. I never feel secure with things in my back pocket with one of those loose slanted designs. These Truspec's do not have that issue. You'll find a knife pocket on either side between the front and back pocket. These are of about the right size for my purposes. I carry a medium sized folding knife (3.25" blade) in one pocket and a small flashlight in the other. Cargo pockets are another huge selling point for these pants. Each side has a large cargo that also has 3 pouches inside of the perfect size for a pistol magazine. I love that for wearing these to the range. On the outside of the cargo pockets you'll find a cell phone pocket. Another edge here over the 511s is a touch screen phone will fit in there. Iphone or Galaxy fit fine, the only thing that'll be too big is a phablet like the Galaxy Note. Bottom line, these are my current favorite tactical pants and they're a bargain in comparison to their competition. Highly recommended.

Hefty guy.
Opinions are like bum holes, we know. I'm a pretty hefty dude, I work in corrections and tactical operations. These pants are the best I've ever had! I have rarely bought any other tactical pants for the last six years; but usually when I do I'm disappointed. The fit is great on me and the poly cotton blend is light and comfortable in the heat of the summer ranges. I have a lot of small items I carry on the daily so the amount of pockets is plentiful and useful. The best pockets are the interior magazine pockets in the cargo areas which keep my pockets organized for quick access and reduced digging around. These pants do last me for a couple years with multiple wears per week and weekly washing. I usually wear black, which will fade, but the first pairs I got years ago are still black. They take a press well and clean easily. They stay professional at all times! You might have to repair the stitch for the fasteners on the tiny pockets, that does tend to come out but it's an easy fix and will extend the life of the pants exponentially. I recommend these pants to all my staff and those who have gotten them have loved them as much as me. I'm not a paid spokesman, I just want to keep wearing these until I retire!

5 Star worth cargo pants
I've had my brown pair of these pants for almost a year now, which is hard to imagine, because they look brand new still. I don't have an intense job, I'm not a military contractor or anything like that, I just like to wear tough, durable, and most importantly comfortable pants. For years I've just bought Walmart cargo pants and worn them until they fell apart...which typically takes six months or so at the most. Since I finally have a little more cash in my pockets I decided I'd try something a bit more pricey and after much debating between stuff like 5.11 and Blackhawk brand and the like I figured I'd try Tru-Spec because they were a little cheaper priced. I bought these and also Riggs Workwear ranger pants by Wrangler. The Riggs are still in the condition I bought them in too...because I've only worn them a few times and now they collect dust in my closet. They are so heavy and unyielding they just didn't work for me. The Tru-Spec on the other hand I wear atleast once a week because, simply put, they are awesome. They have a plethora of pockets, like cargo pants, but are cut more like nice dress pants. The cargo pockets don't bulge and sag, which adds to the more stylish look, in my humble opinion. Most wonderfully, the waist has an elastic part to them, also like nice dress pants, that allows them to give a little. This was my gripe with the Riggs; they crushed my waist and dug into me all day. The Tru-Spec I bought (and the 5.11 pants I'm wearing right now) have waists that move and flex with you and are more forgiving if you seem to be between pants sizes (I think I must be a 33 on some days and a 32 on others...try finding 33s). Also, and this is a big one, they seem to be true to my size or at least close. I tend to wear a 32 so I bought these in that size. The 32x32s were a little long on me, though most 32 length pants are so I wasn't surprised. My second pair I bought in coyote were 32x30s and they were a little shorter than I like, but who makes 31s? Oh, well. The short of it is that I'm happy with these. I have since bought 5.11 and Vertx both of which ran small (the Vertx ran EXTREMELY small in the waist, I couldn't even zip them up and the 32x32 5.11 wore like 32x34 or 36s...I mean crazy long) and had to replace. I'm fairly happy with my the 32x30 5.11 pants I bought, but to me their pocket placement seems inferior to the Tru-Spec pocket placement. Between the 5.11 and the Tru-Spec the material seems about the same, but the 5.11 are a bit more expensive. I'm keeping my 5.11 and wearing them in my normal rotation, but I bought another pair of Tru-Spec and will probably buy more in the future as my go to work pants. Overall I don't know how long-term wear and tear in the field would work out, but I feel like the material would be tough enough I wouldn't worry about them giving out while I was hunting or hiking, though I usually reserve cheap and comfy combat pants for such roles, simple because I can buy them all day for around $10 at the military surplus store and not have a heart attack if I rip a hole in them. I give Tru-Spec pants a rare 5 stars for all the reasons listed. Give them a try and I don't think you'll be disappointed.

excellent work pants
if you are looking for durable TRUE rip stop work pants, this is what you buy! I searched everywhere for a work trousers that have REAL rip stop material, double layer knee material and a loose but not too loose fit. I would call this a relaxed fit. It is important because there is so much work I do that requires all kinds of bending, kneeling, stretching, and I work in a very hot outside all weather condition. These are not light material, but there are not heavy duty material either. It's somewhere in between. I have bought all kinds of pants that are nylon rip stop and most of them are just not very durable, and while they do dry quickly and allow sweat to evaporate, the material just doesn't last long, especially the knees and the crotch and seat. I bought these on a hunch and it's exactly what I was looking for. It isn't as light weight material as I imagined, but it's definitely constructed for a longer lasting life. A great price too. I found the size is slightly smaller in the waist and the length slightly longer. Not much though...around 1 inch. But that is not a big deal because I wear boots so the length is fine and there is a stretch band built into the belt waist band that is actually a strong stretch that makes up for the small size difference. I have not washed these pants yet, but I plan to put them on a high heat dry and see if that changes the size, which is likely. Good deal on price and material and construction quality. Will definitely buy more in different natural colors. Bought the lighter khaki because it seems to wear cooler in temp in the hot summer season of mowing and groundskeeping. The extra double layer at the knee will probably keep these pants from wearing out at least through 1 or two seasons. I do a LOT of kneeling in all kinds of ground, concrete, wood, you name it. That usually creates wear spots and holes in normal pants pretty quickly and just another place for the mosquitoes to get a meal. These pants are also nice enough to wear casually for store runs without looking like a total work chump. Never bought this brand before. Glad I did.

Quality pants
The pants are outstanding. They’re incredibly comfortable, flexible, and made with excellent quality. While the price is definitely on the high side and the shipping is frustratingly slow, the product itself is worth it if you’re looking for durable, high quality pants.

They do the job, have internal pockets for knee pads and have more that enough pockets for supplies/gear. The only downside with these pants are the large pockets on the side have two velcros on them, but it is also stitched closed. This keeps you from keeping the pocket open and limits how quickly you can access gear from them. The knife pockets are a nice touch though and it keeps it off of your hip bone, to reduce potential of causing damage to yourself or your knife.

Muy pesados, bastante comodos
La tela está bastante gruesa, lo que que lo hace demasiado pesado, pero no por ello menos cómodo.
