Business Source Nickel Plated Call Bell

I purchased this bell to use with teaching Daily 5 in my second grade classroom. After each work session, the entire class knows to gather back at the rug when they hear the bell. I find that it's fun to have a few different sounds to use throughout the year...a chime, train whistle, this bell, etc. When I saw a call bell for less than $1 at a thrift store, I thought maybe I shouldn't have got one off Amazon, but I'm glad I did. This bell is heavier and very well-constructed. The sound is plenty loud and resonates for a little bit. I'm very happy with the quality for what I paid and am sure it will last forever! Besides being great for noisy classrooms, this bell would be perfect for stores, games, pet training, or plenty of other situations.

I use this so that my dog can indicate when he wants to go outside in the back yard. For some reason he usually hits it with his nose and not his paw. Because of this, I built a plastic C shaped enclosure with a large paddle on top that is easier for him to bop with his nose. It works fine when he want to go out. I then put the bell outside for him to ring to come in. Unfortunately, the bell it not loud enough to go through the glass door and always be heard where I usually sit. To train the dog I first rang the bell myself every time he went out for a few days. I then taught him to ring the bell on command with his favorite treat. He then put the two behaviors together very quickly and now I do not have to guess what he wants to do.

I use these in the classroom to help bring the students back to attention during projects or when they just start to get out of hand (yes parents they are a handful). I put the best qualities in the heading so that should tell you it all 1. It will last, unless you throw it. 2. Great price at around 3 dollars, cheaper than any box store. 3. Loud enough for everyone to hear and to grab anyone's attention. 4. Can unscrew to change the sound. (found that out on accident)

I gave this bell to a relative who lost their mobility for them to use to call their spouse. They loved it and was very appreciative of it. It works great. However, I was not too popular with the able-bodied spouse for buying this. The next time I saw them and inquired about the bell, I was told it was "lost". I had anticipated this, and had purchased a few of these as spares. I glued the second one I gave them to an 8"x8"x1" piece of maple wood so it would not get "misplaced" so easily. For some reason, I have not been invited over since. Anyway, we also use these when we play the Family Feud game.

We use this bell as a sort of doorbell for the dog. When he wants to go out, he rings the bell and we know to let him out. It's a good quality bell with a nice clear "ding". It's loud enough that we can hear it in another room, but not so loud that it's a nuisance. It's not too heavy and not too light. Unlike some of these bells, you cannot change the pitch on this particular one. I highly recommend this brand because of the quality. We had one that was a lot lighter and it just seemed like a cheaper quality.

This Bell does look fairly durable from the outside, however, the bell I purchased arrived broken. The button does not reset unless you do it manually. This makes you unable to ring the bell more than one time without resetting it. Normally, I would just simply return the item, but this item is not eligible for returns. I ended up going to the Dollar Tree and purchasing a bell there for $1. That was a much better use of my money. Now I am stuck with a bell I paid six times more than I should have that does not work. I am very dissatisfied and would not recommend any products from this company to anyone. I would give -1 star if possible. Disgusting.

bought this for the granddaughter's pretend Diner/Cafe so they could ding the bell and shout Order Up!I was very pleased with this purchase.The bell has a very nice ring,not to loud but not to low just right.It is a perfect size and very good quality.I would recommend this bell at twice the price I paid.If you are looking for an attractive good quality bell with a nice sound and at a bargain price. You need look no further! I rarely write reviews but I also rarely receive items that are worth every penny.
