Always buy these when my old ones can’t be refilled any more. They work great on my unit that has been running for 10+ years.

I recently replaced my 2.5 year old Excel Cartridge with this new one. I didn't know that the cartridge is supposed to be replaced once a year. The new cartridge is an exact fit and maintains perfect humidity in my humidor.

Have bought about 5 of these over time. They seem to be a bit inconsistent. Once might hold at 70% another, 68 or 69.1 Same controller, same settings for 70%, same humidifier. Good things is that they last me about a year before they start losing moisture. I have also refilled older ones with a 50/50 PG and DH20 with mixed results. I will buy again

Sponge doesn't absorb water , received with no caps wrapped in clear saran wrap plastic. Don't know if they have a new vendor but had to return

I've had the same CO Excel for 4 years now. I live in AZ and use a 120 qt cooler as a humidor with no less than 400 sticks at any given time. Works awesome! I've tried many humidor systems and this is by far the least expensive with least care and maintenance required and I live in a climate where the average relative humidity is 20%. I can stretch 1 to 1.5 years out of a single XL refill cartridge but the best performance I've experienced is to not refill the cartridge with distilled water more than twice (usually works out to 6-9 months for me). When the cartridges are brand new, I can usually get some of the better (umm, "exotic" maybe) cigars to bloom. In the grand scheme... the Cigar Oasis system and cartridges are inexpensive relative to what I have in the humidor. Great product, fast shipping and great service!

If you spend any serious amount of money on your cigars, stogies, puros, or whatever you call them, this is product to have. The cigar oasis will keep them in the best conditions possible. Once you buy the cigar oasis unit (pricey but worth it,) the refill cartridges are resonably priced, but well worth the money.I have refilled the cartridge two or three times with distilled water. Toward the end of the third refill cycle, at times, a moss/fungas (not harmful) will begin to grow on your cigars. Thats when you need to purchase a new cartridge. For me about every 1.5 years. Depending on the humidity leval you keep the unit and where you keep your humidor, you shoud be able to do the same. I keep mine at 70%. I prefer my cigars soft and spongy. The cigar oasis will only work as good as your humidor, so don't expect miracles if you keep your cigars in a shoe box.

The unit works like a charm.

I received it on time but its clearly used didn't even come in packaging just wrapped in see through plastic. water doesn't absorb and now my unit won't hit the set point of 68.5% RH. I'm also worried it's damaged my unit.
