Good value
This printer is excellent value provided you take note of what it can and cannot do. The build quality is excellent and the assembly time is minimal. Confusing manuals have been replaced by downloadable videos which get over the language problem rather nicely.I broke mine when I tried to add the BL touch add on, it was my fault, I made a mistake in re-flashing the mother board which meant that I needed a new motherboard. However Geeetech support managed to sort me out and I am now the proud owner of a fully working machine. You must remember how this machine works, it has three extruders feeding into one hot end. What this means is that you can use three different colour filaments but they must all share the same basic settings such as extrusion temperature. You can not use dissimilar filaments at the same time (i.e. PLA for main build and PVA for supports). You can change from one colour to another at any layer using the supplied software (i.e. different colour bands going up the print) with ease (see skull picture). Applying different colours at the same level however is a little more difficult since you will need a purge tower which is used to empty the mixing chamber (above the single extruder) of the old colour before loading the new. It is possible but will require some experimentation to get right. This is the third addition to my printer room and can easily do things that my other printers find difficult. At the price it is extremely good value.

Colour Mix
Appears to be a good printer, however the mixing extruded doesn’t not seem to allow sharp changes in colour and dumps lumps of filament where it is when a change is needed It is possible that I needed the colour change program and a different slicer ( was using Cura as suggested in the instructions ) I have tried to download these 5 times and sat through the slowest download imaginable ( and I am of an age that recalls the first dial up! ) Every time it did complete, I tried to run and the file received was corrupt. They really need to sort this out or state clearly that the machine can only slow mix and not define colour. Please note I am not a Luddite, I run 7 other 3D printers with no issues. Thanks

Geeetech A20T - A mix 3 into 1 3d printer which produces pleasing prints but...
Geeetech A20T - A mix 3 into 1 3d printer which produces pleasing prints but also provides it's frustrations.Having been in the 3D printing world for several years when the A20T came onto the scene I was sceptical. However, of more recent I decided to take the plunge as I was eager to have a multi filament printer, so in I dove.Out of the box the printer was a doddle to setup following their online videos. Their paper instructions have a bit to be desired, rather brief and are a bit small to follow. Whilst wires are nicely bundled up there are 3 longish bundles which just "flex" and float around so some proper wire management would be required.I noticed that my heatbed had a gouge in it, however did not put me off as would not affect the prints.First niggle was when placing the build surface on the heat bed there was a raised part that appeared which turned out to be a rather large remnant of soldering over a screw. Fortunately I was able to remove it and the build surface was nice and flat a part from a deepish scratch on the side. Really a magnetic flexible build plate should come as standard. My second niggle was loading the filament as one extruder was not properly aligned inside so a little tinker and all was ok again. I loaded Red, Green and Blue filament.Time to print and after using their "bed levelling paper" the first print from the microsd card was on it's way. First observation was that the nozzle was too far from the bed, so a little live adjustment and I was satisfied. The "bed levelling paper" is in fact too thick and a normal sheet of paper should be used.A nice gradient coloured dog came out. So I proceeded to the second print on the card and a nice vase came out.Time to slice my own models and the little Marvins came out well as a gradient and block colours one on top of the other.Great I said... Time to do a more complex 3 colour print and hence the gecko...Geeetech provide you profiles but they are more aimed at mixing colours rather than complex structures. I tried the Cura and Repetier profiles as were and got some interesting failures. Stringing, colour mixing, wipe tower grinding etc...Given Geeetech's website I thought great they should have guides as how to overcome these problems, but no... So frustration to go through each problem and dial in the settings to get the final 3 coloured gecko! You need to have lond enough retraction as well as a large enough wipe/ purge tower overall for your print to succeed as desired. So overall I feel satisfied that I know what to do and can now get good results but it did take me close on 12 full hours to get there over 3 days.Would I recommend the printer? Yes! However out of the box colour mixing is what it does best rather than complex coloured structures. However with a little tinkering you can get there! I just wish Geeetech would provide better guidance up front and appropriate profiles for popular slicers to make the journey easier.Difficulty: Medium. Not suited to the absolute novice, however if a little time and effort is put in you can get great results. 4 out of 5.

3-colour 3-D Printer
This is my first 3-D printer and first experience of 3-D printing. The printer was easy to assemble and came with a number of useful spares. The instructions were a little confusing in places but the videos on the Geeetech website are clear and slow enough to follow easily. The videos cover everything you need to know. The printer came with test models and short lengths of 3 colours of filament - enough to print a test model (which is actually quite attractive). The User Guide and supporting documents explain the basics of 3-D printing in sufficient detail that it didn't take me long to take a design from a third-party website (.stl file) and convert it to the .gcode file used by the printer. There is also a file utility that will add commands that control the mixing of the 3 colours.I have made several useful items from designs found on websites.A fault developed in the printer after a couple of months but the supplier responded quickly and sent the required spare parts. The printer is now working perfectly again. Very good after-sales care.I still have much to learn about 3-D printing but have made a good start with this very good printer.
