exact 100% replacement, could not get at usual big box home improvement stores
what can I say, looked at Lowe's and Home Depot and they didn't stock it and wouldn't order it for me. I was looking for an exact, exact quad pole replacement for the original that developed a single pole defect 14 years after home was built. Only Amazon had it and the you tube videos on how to SAFELY replace breakers made me confident enough to try replacing without an electrician. trick is to turn everything off including main breaker, solar panels and then to check for any live current with a tester before making the wire transitions, suggest do one wire transfer at a time so as not to change the existing pattern. Takes a bit of force to put in as they swing in and lock in place. Amazon rocks for difficult to get items, was half the price of online electrical supply house or even ebay.

Defective
Defective. The central two (220) work, the bottom one (110) works, but the top one (110) refuses to stay on (to the left). It trips always, even without any wire/circuit connected. Too bad, since it was $60 something dollars, and now I need to buy a new one.

40 Space panel) The slot in the breaker where it goes over the stab in the panel is shorter on these than a standard breaker so that they will only fit in panels intended for tandem breakers be they dual or quad like this one
It might be a decent breaker, but i'll never know. Be aware - These do NOT fit just any Square-D Homeline (I.E. Home Cheapo) load panel! In order to use these, your panel must specify more circuits than spaces (I.E. 40 spaces/80 circuits)They will NOT work in panels that only specify spaces (I.E. 40 Space panel)The slot in the breaker where it goes over the stab in the panel is shorter on these than a standard breaker so that they will only fit in panels intended for tandem breakers be they dual or quad like this one. This appears to be a marketing technique as I see no other difference in the panels, there is no functional reason for this difference. The breaker on the left in the photo shows the deeper slot needed to insert them in panels listed only by number of spaces. The photo on the right is this breaker (a quad-tandem) and is designed only for panels that specify x spaces / 2x circuits.
