The best crochet hook organizer I have found yet
I've spent too much money trying to find the perfect organizers for my various tools, and the problem with most of them is that they make them for looks, not for function, with huge slots that will accommodate the largest hooks made, or satin interiors that all the hooks fall out of with a clang whenever they are picked up. I like this one the best, because it holds all my hooks except for the special-purpose jumbo ones, it zips shut to keep everything inside, it fits into a quite small train case* that I use for my patchwork crochet, and (this is difficult to see from the photo) the cover is what appears to be genuine handwoven ikat from Guatemala, a nice touch for those of us who like handworked textiles.*Train cases -- some of them quite diminutive -- have been a hot item the last couple of years as GWPs from various cosmetic sellers. One that I recently received has turned into the best little project carrier I own. It is small, vinyl, and well-made, although I don't care much for the contents, I found that it holds a good-sized skein of yarn, whatever square of my knit/crochet bedspread I am working on, this hook organizer, a favorite pair of small, sharp scissors in a leather case, a fat little maneki neko (lucky cat) bag that holds a ton of the smaller accessories, with room for a bit more. Here is a link to the one I bought ( Benefit Cosmetics Snow White And The Huntsman(tm) - Rare Beauty Kit ), although I think it is a bit pricey for what you get, unless you are wild about Benefit. (The pattern in the vinyl is very subtle and does not scream movie promo. If you search, you will find a tree, the queen's crown, the (poison) apple, a heart, etc.) Here is a similar one that is a bit larger, for quite a bit less money, although I do not own it:ย Ecotools Alicia Train Case (Color may vary) . (I plan to buy it and try it out, and will remove this link if it turns out to be a dud.)I mention these last two items because this little crochet hook case is perfect for fitting into diminutive bags, and I find these little train cases to be excellent for keeping several small projects (or projects that can be divided into smaller parts) visually separated and easy to grab.

Really really love this
A couple of things regarding other reviews: mine is not vinyl...anywhere. It's got a textured outside, almost feels like embroidery and the inside lining is nylon. The zipper is heavy duty and doesn't get caught up in the fabric. It's handmade and a tag tells you it supports work for women in some third world country, I forget which one. No, it's not stiff or padded but that doesn't detract from it's use. I wouldn't call it flimsy by a long shot. (See pictures)I have a Boye vinyl case which I bought empty without included hooks. I was never completely happy with because one side of it has tiny holders that only accommodate the tiny steel hooks. I rarely use steel hooks and wanted to be able to fit all my larger hooks using both sides of the case but you can't do that. The Boye case is much more sturdy but if you can only use one side, what's it really worth? This organiser, however, holds all sizes of hooks and a lot of them. I'm able to store my N, P and Clover hooks in this with no problem. For small hooks, I put multiple hooks in one holder. For those, I do wish it had a couple of small loops since my little bit of OCD doesn't like them all bunched up in one spot. Since I have a ton of duplicate hooks, wooden hooks and plastic hooks, I use the Boye case to store the rest.I do agree with other reviewers it could be made better if it had an outside pocket which I would use to store stitch markers. That would make it near perfect for me.Overall, I really like this case. It's attractive, lightweight, has those wonderful big elastic loops and I feel it's worth it. I totally recommend this case.

Perfect hook case!
First off, it is beautiful! I love the texture of the woven frabic and I was more than pleased with the colors. Everything about the case is well made and I have no issues with the zipper. It lays flat when unzipped all the way. It is quite a soft case because it is basically made of fabric, however it feels very sturdy with your hooks and things inside of it. It is large enough height wise to comfortably place and remove hooks in the straps. Just a reminder, you are not aware of the colors used for the frabic before you purchase it.I purchased this hook case primarily because of the elastic holdings. I have double of the hooks I use the most so it's nice to be able to fit both hooks in one slot. My plastic handle hooks (that I got as gift with purchase from deramores.com) fit one to a slot, while my Boye hooks fit two or more depending on mm size. The elastic strap can fit a 9mm hook with no problems.I have the Boye case that I do not enjoy. At all. It has plastic strap holdings that are pre-fit for a certian mm size. Half of the Boye case is just for steel hooks, which I don't have very many of nor do I plan on getting more. So because of the pre-fit plastic straps, I basically hate that case. I'll set it aside for another year or two and give it to my daughters when it's time for them to learn. This totorganizer hook case is seriously perfect for my needs. Its fits all my hooks and I am able to still put more in if I wanted.I'm contemplating buying another one just so I can have an extra!
