K9Cakery Fire Hydrant Cake Pan

Update: The top "knob" of the fire hydrant is more shallow than the rest of the pan so it's hard to get batter up in that without filling the rest of the pan to overflowing...filling the pan so full makes the batter kind of deep so the top knob and the band at the bottom and the middle sort of burn but the cake isn't done in the middle. This pan does not work for me at all which is too bad because it is so cute. Might make a good jello mold...do dogs eat jello?Original: The pan is smaller than I thought. Since the description said 7 x 10 I assumed it was the same size as the K9 Cakery small bone pan which is also listed as 7 x 10. It is much more shallow than the bone pan and holds about half as much. It will not hold my full PB & Banana dog cake recipe without spilling over. Luckily I have many other K9 Cakery baking trays so I guess I will use the extra batter to make paw print mini cakes along with a fire hydrant cake. Other than that the pan is of good quality--like the rest of the K9 Cakery products.

It came with a pinhole in it. It was a gift and I never got it back to return it. So I can't really saw it wasn't made right. I probably would buy another one.

Disappointed when I realised this was not a baking tin but plastic. Concerned that it will not have the lifespan of other baking materials.Read the detailed information before ordering any further items.

I will not be able to use this in the oven for the fear of it melting, but I will use it for jello mold or ice mold for the dogs treats.

This was better than expected.Came out so good I made 30 more than needed. Came on time, just as described. Actually I think it's better, used them on baby shower cake
